Underwhelming
I waited months for this appointment after having a blood clot in my eye that led to permanent vision loss only to be told to take aspirin. He said the rare disorders that could cause what happened to my eye there are no evidence of in my MRI such as Taysachs. I asked for a genetic referral to rule things out 100% (such as Chronic progressive external opthamoplegia) but they said they can't give me one. Why not order the blood test for Taysachs to be double sure since the stakes here are MY VISION!! I know I don't fit into a box and my condition is complex but it's always go see another doctor without any specific rec for one they think can actually help me. Maybe they will listen when I lose more of my vision? The least he could've done was write the referral for genetics. I honestly don't feel the doctor really cared about why I had a clot in my eye as long as I'm not going to have a stroke tomorrow not his problem.

I went to be treated by Dr Cucchiara and he either could not make a proper diagnosis, or didn't believe me when I described my severe symptoms. After a year of seeing him and not getting answers to my problems, I switched to a different physician who, on the very first visit, diagnosed me and started treatment which relieved my excruciating pain. Don't go here for treatment. Go to Johns Hopkins Hospital where there are better doctors.
