Dr. Brent Smoots, MD

I found Dr Smoots to be thorough and to take the time to explain results and ask for questions. I never felt hurried or that he was ready to quickly move on to the next patient.

Very personable, answered all my questions. Very thorough and efficient.

He seems miserable. Never flashed a smile. Didn’t seem to take anything I said seriously. Scheduled at least one pointless test that put off the actual test needed by weeks. Doesn’t respond at all in patient portals. I’ve never seen a doctor so miserable and uninterested in my life.

It took six months to get the initial visit to get established. Then, when we REALLY needed to be seen, the first available appointment was two months out. Would have been dead by then. Went to the ER, now in search of a new primary care doctor. This practice shouldn’t take new patients if they don’t have time to see them.

Please do not go see this provider! Completely overlooking what the patient needs and rushed. Another issue, excessively billing with the codes he added on. I had a wellness visit and should be billed as such. I wrote and called to relay this information but was ignored and was told I had other issues and therefore can't be billed as a wellness visit. I was a new patient, had two concerns that were brought up in addition to a physical and lab work, which is preventative care. He asked questions I answered. Instead of a new patient and wellness exam after many years of not being seen, he changed the visit to his financial benefit and proceeded to code it at a higher rate so he can take advantage of a paid patient rather than a covered wellness exam by insurance. Dr. Wong is also in the same practice and is highly recommended.

Dr.Smoots is great. He is very patient and explains everything very well. He listens and cares about his patients. Highly recommend him .. been a patient for 3 years.

Hot garbage. Will dismiss anything you have to say. Not helpful in the slightest, and will try and rush you out of there as quickly as possible so he can get through (from his demeanor) another miserable day. If you want to hear it’s allergies, or lose some weight for $150 he’s your guy.

Dr. Smoots is the best! His practice is well-run, responsive. His care is thorough, practical and well explained. Been a patient for ~ 3 years. I highly recommend him.
