Dr. Brent Shelton, MD

I started seeing Dr. Shelton due to some unusual changes in my body. After listening to my concerns about the symptoms I’ve been having he went right into figuring out the possible causes. Unfortunately, a tumor sitting on my pituitary gland was causing it to secret too much estrogen and that in turn was why I couldn’t get pregnant. After going through the appropriate care- medication, I became pregnant a couple months later (^-^)! My husband had deployed a month prior to me finding out. I actually was shocked but we were so happy!! The first pregnancy, unfortunately, didn’t take and I had a miscarriage. It was hard to deal with but the staff was helpful and understanding. Dr. Shelton let me know that unfortunately, this does happen sometimes. After that dark period, my husband returned home about 10 months later. We tried again and voila! We now have a little girl and we couldn’t be more happier. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to work with him. Thank you for changing my life!

I have been Dr. Shelton's patient for 22 years. I started with Medicaid and moved through probably three or four other insurances while under his care. The transition was always seamless. Dr. Shelton is thoughtful and kind and he truly listens to my needs. He went above and beyond when he knew I was struggling with depression, with divorce, with job stresses - anything we discussed, he was there to hear me. He wrote letters on my behalf for various purposes. He offered to connect me with therapists as needed and offered his staff as a resource if I needed help finding community resources. I never felt uncomfortable in his office and under his care. I no longer live in the area, and I know I will have a hard time finding a gynecologist who compares to this man. It is unfortunate that there are people here who give the doctor one star when they are unhappy with the office in general. This is not the forum for that.

He started as my dr in 2003! Delivered all 3 of my kids out of ALL the appointments I’ve had with him he’s only missed 1 because he was on vacation. I appreciated the fact that he personally delivered my kids and not some stranger like some of the other practices. I had horrible morning sickness with all three of my pregnancies and he didn’t brush it off and helped me manage it so I could get out of bed. He was attentive and listened to my concerns!

You will not find a more caring and understanding doctor.

Dr. Shelton is such a caring doctor, attentive to my concerns and needs during pregnancy. His assistant always returned my phone calls in a timely manner. I would very much recommend him.

The staff gives you an run around when discussing important matters the supervisor was rude and disrespectful and told me to find some where else to go.wasn't comfortable with an male doctor ask for female doctor they refused.

worst experiences ever, I was in labor and he Refused to take me to delivery room and he send me back home, even that contractions was every 5 minutes and it was open 5 cm. just because I wrote that I prefer female doctor. I told them when I came back that I am fain with male doctor.
