Not very helpful ,wants me to tell him what to do.
I was sent there for a professional opinion and advice. He just made me feel like I was wasting his time. Kept asking me what I wanted him to say or do. He obviously didn't refresh his memory of my case ,because he didn't know where he sent me for physical therapy. He didn't read the notes from the therapist. It's almost like he thinks I'm faking my pain. Most unprofessional doctor that I've ever been to. Will never recommend him to anyone

Shoulder injury
I slipped on ice in January ‘23 and my local doctors couldn’t find anything wrong. I was referred to Dr. Johnson and within minutes on my first visit he knew what was wrong and ordered more imaging to see the extent of damage. New imaging showed a SLAP tear in my shoulder that would need to be surgically repaired. If it weren’t for Dr. Johnson and his knowledge I’d still be fighting pain and looking for answers. I 100% recommend Dr, Johnson and Midwest Orthopaedic.

Shoulder injury
First visit to Dr. Johnson. He was very thorough & gave me options on treatment. No pressure for surgery but conservative treatment to apply first! Very nice & professional!

Dr Johnson has performed two shoulder surgeries on my right shoulder for a slap tear in the past year. One year later I can no longer raise my arm. I have severe numbness, burning, throbbing, sharp pains in my right bicep, elbow and palm now. Dr Johnson stated that he could not figure out what was wrong with me and referred me to see a doctor in Chicago. Midwest Orthopedic did not send my medical records and MRI images to the doctor in Chicago and now the Chicago doctor will not treat me because of Midwest Orthopedics mistake. It takes days for anyone of Dr Johnson's staff to call you back if you have a question or issue and that is after the switchboard operators will drill you with questions on your reason for calling. I would not recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone.

Great Physician/Surgeon!
Dr is friendly and caring. Had reverse shoulder replacement 10years ago. And regained nearly complete range of motion. Definitely impressed with his skill and bedside manner. His PA Ben is great also!

Excellent outcome from rotator cuff surgery
I can only give High marks for Dr Johnson’s surgery on a basically destroyed rotator cuff and bicep. From his surgery and Paige Stalter DPT therapy, I’m pretty much back to normal function. Thank you Midwest Orthopaedic

As always Dr Johnson was great!
Never one to push surgery, he provided all options including a cortisone shot which is helping already!! Hopefully that combined with self PT will take care of the issue.
