Care far above and beyond expectations
My husband faced complications not associated with the surgery. Dr Greenwald and his staff went far above and beyond their obligation and helped get my husband into a wonderful full care therapy facility. Without them, I feel my husband would have never recovered. Trust is critical when treating anyone, and I would trust Dr Greenwald and his staff with my life, they saved my husbands.

Highly Recommend
After more than 2 years, 4 doctors, multiple X-rays, MRIs, medications and injections, I found Dr. Greenwald and I couldn't be more grateful. He figured out and removed the pain and numbness I had in my shoulders and arms. The doctor and his staff are professional and friendly. I've given them 5 stars and wish I could give them more.

Asked me to get an MRI and a Myelogram so I did. Then he wouldn't see me. Staff there is not very friendly with the exception of one person who helps you get records ready. Wasted a lot of time and money trying to get into see this guy.

Dr.Greenwald is incredible. I could not be more grateful to him. I had had chronic back pain that wrapped around the sides for 6 months. I went to doctor after doctor and chiropractors. I found that I had 2 herniated disc's. I had months of PT with no relief at all. When I went to see Dr.Greenwald, he could have easily said "let's try surgery to remove these discs, but he didn't. He told me he thought there was more going on. He referred me to another specialist and I ended up with exploratory abdominal surgery. It turns out that my abdomen was full of blood which was causing my back pain. The fact that a spine surgeon could figure that out with no diagnostics in one visit when doctor after doctor missed It is completely incredible. I am finally out of pain and did not even need spinal surgery. I am so grateful for Dr.Greenwald for not giving in and doing surgery unnecessarily. I am so grateful for his brilliance above and beyond my other fabulous doctors. I finally have my life back.

Dr Greenwald has done a couple of back surgeries on me. I had another neurosurgeon do the first one and it wasn't a good outcome. Dr Greenwald is phenomenal. Great bedside manner, great knowledge, tells you like it is, whether you want to hear it or not. Hands down the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about the care I received from Dr. Greenwald and staff. It has been truly life altering. He's the only surgeon I have ever seen that didn't recommend surgery as the first option. I saw him nearly five years ago-he recommended physical therapy. After re-injuring myself a year ago, and trying PT, I finally when back in to see Dr. Greenwald. His prognosis this time was the only thing that can help me is surgery---which it did. I feel like I have a new lease on life.

I suffered from a pinched nerve in my lower back. I had severe psiatic pain in my left leg and also suffered pain in my leg and feet. After a year of trying physical therapy, spinal shots, pain medication, I could find no relief. Dr Greenwald gave me the option of surgery with no guarantee. Now 6 months later I am walking and jogging 1/2 marathons. He sent me home from the hospital and told me to walk, just walk. That’s what I’ve done and as long as I’m walking life is great. Just keep walking

I was referred to Dr. Greenwald after a back injury at work. He fully explained what was going on with my spine, including pre-existing pathology and how the work injury had exacerbated things to cause my symptoms. He took the time to answer all my questions in language that I could understand. He recommended surgery but did not push it. We are currently managing my pain w/o surgery but if things should change I won't see any one else. He has my full confidence.

Dr. Greenwald assisted me with lumbar problems and I couldn't be happier with the help and relief he provided me. Dr. Greenwald, his staff, and those who cared for me at Idaho Doctor's Hospital were all attentive, caring, respectful, and very responsive. I must admit, not knowing anything about Idaho Doctor's Hospital I was nervous to have the surgery there. However, I couldn't be happier with the care I received at Idaho Doctor's Hospital, which was very personal, caring, and attentive. I w

Dr. Greenwald is EXTREMELY competent as both a Clinician and Surgeon. His treatment of my disc disease (and surgery) was stellar. He fully explained procedures to me in a manner that I could easily understand, took as much time as needed to make sure I was fully informed AND educated. I have sent countless family and friends to him and will continue to do so! He is a wonderful asset to this Community

I have had many difficulties with my neck back, and whole neurological system for years . I am so very grateful for Brent Greenwald, had it not been for his expertise and dedication to me I would not be where I am today. I can not thank him enough for giving me back a life of healing and mobility I did not think I would have again. Thank you so very much for being you... I also want to say I seen Dr Alan and Kelly, neither one wanted to touch me telling me that the only fix was to put two pools

Dr. Greenwald has saved my quality of life twice in the past 18 years. In 1999 he fused 5 vertebrae in my neck and recently he performed surgery on my lower back that relieved pressure on nerves that prevented me from walking. He is a truly amazing surgeon.

Doctor performs great surgery, but poor care by dr and staff. Mom had two back surgeries. The first, she's not told to bring a brace or medication. He nearly let her go home after a drug psychotic episode. Zero follow-up and struggle to get anyone to even call in a prescription. Had knee surgery and called before to inform. 5 months later, she's told it may screw up her back. Nurse read her chart today - multiple mistakes on medication and health. Left after 2 hours - never saw the dr

I was diagnosed with an Intramedullary Ependymoma C6, C7, T1, (a tumor inside my spinal cord in my neck). I had an appointment with Dr Greenwald in 2 weeks even thought he was booked out 2 months. At my appointment, he talked to me for 2.5 hours! He performed the surgery on July 2, 2012. I could not be more thrilled about the outcome. I could have been a quadriplegic and in a wheelchair but I CAN WALK! As far as I am concerned,...DR BRENT GREENWALD SAVED MY LIFE and I am forever grateful!
