This is my daughter’s first pregnancy, and by chance, Dr. Mitchell was the physician my daughter saw for her first appointment.I know that she was nervous that it was a male provider, but after two seconds of him being in the room and having such an amazing bedside manner, my daughter felt 100% comfortable with him and his abundance of knowledge and how kind and nonjudgmental he was to her given her age.After her very first appointment, she made up her mind up instantly that she wants and prefers for him to continue her OB treatments, check ups as well as the delivery of her baby. Which is saying a lot, considering she is always very hesitant when it has comes to any past male providers in the medical field.I would recommend him to anybody and everyone for any OBGYN needs.My daughter is very thrilled to have connected with a provider that she feels so comfortable in asking any questions regarding issues, whether that may be either a routine question or… -Taylor Fankhauser

I saw Dr Mitchell for my routine 6 week PP appointment, as my primary OB was not available. I tried speaking to him about my low libido and asking for anything I might do to help. As this was my first child, I was unaware of what “normal” was. After finding out my husband is a physician, Dr Mitchell told me I need to have sex with him or else my husband will find it somewhere else. He also said that once I’m in my 40’s I will be the one with the high libido and my husband will have to be the one begrudgingly having sex then. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. I do not understand why someone would choose a speciality focusing on women when they obviously have no respect for them.

Dr.Mitchell was on OBGYN for my first and only pregnancy and he was great. Very upfront, relaxed, and informative during my pregnancy which kept me stress and worry free. Any concerns I had he addressed and he always had a great story or joke to share which kept me and my Husband laughing. I do suggest going to the OPKS location if you're going to see him, Shawnee is not my favorite between the two.

I was referred to Dr.Mitchell by a pregnancy center and my son passed away the final week of pregnancy. I do feel that if my doctor would have put me in the hospital on bed rest (after having a very difficult pregnancy) we could have avoided this entire situation and my son might still be alive. I was devastated thinking everything was going to be just fine. Will be using a different doctor moving forward.

Dr. Mitchell is very thorough and doesn't rush you out. I've been to many obgyns and I plan to continue going to this practice.
