Dr. Brenda Tharian, MD

I have been seeing Dr Tharian for almost 7 months regarding a persistent UTIs. She is pleasant and seems to have a strategy for addressing my issues. The reason I would NOT recommend her is because she and, or the office have messed up sending in prescriptions at least twice, (and not quick about correcting), and have been extremely slow in responding to follow up questions.

very terrible staff in Shenandoah office. Carla said she is r.n. but in fact is aide. Carla puts me on hold then never returns to phone. Dr may be ok but office staff is terrible for questions. I will go to another urologist because unprofessional staff in Brenda Therian office

I'm a male and had an appointment with Dr. Brenda, a urologist, and unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. During the consultation, I felt that my concerns weren't fully addressed. Once we got to looking at the issue, she seemed dismissive and hurried, which made me feel uncomfortable and unheard. While I understand that doctors have busy schedules, a bit more patience and thoroughness would have made a significant difference. It felt like she was uncomfortable with the situation, which didn't inspire confidence. I hope future visits can be more attentive and considerate.

My experience with Dr. Tharian is always wonderful in every area. She even has a sense of humor sometimes! I highly recommend her.

I have frequently UTIs. It took longer than usual to get culture results. Staff told me on Friday afternoon. It was a “bad” infection. Had to wait until Monday to get more details and during this time I received no treatment. I another culture on Tuesday and was told on Wednesday by staff that I had a drug resistant infection and needed to see Infectious Disease Specialist. It took another 2 days (and much phone confusion) to get an appointment. So I was very sick and in pain for over 10 days before any treatment could begin. And during all this time I never saw or talked to Dr. Tharian.......only talked to staff. I was miserable and the staff simply didn’t give much help. They acted as if they did not care.

Excellent consultation and exam. Answered all questions. Very professional and good experience

She is the best No rush takes time to listen

The most caring and knowledgeable in this field. I had been to several clinics before and nowhere else compares to this office's compassion and expertise. I consider myself fortunate to have met this doctor.

After having a bad experience with a different urologist I was BLESSED to find Dr. Tharian. She takes the time to listen and answer each question or concern. Dr. Tharian is HONEST, and unlike my previous urologist does not try to scare you into having unnecessary, invasive, expensive procedures. If she says I need something I believe her because she does no more or less than what is actually needed. Thorough, yet cautious. Very high marks!!!

Finding Dr Tharian was a true blessing. From the moment I met her I knew I made the right decision trusting her.

She is immature and defensive if you say anything she doesn't want to hear. She barely has enough employees to run her office. The receptionist is rude but overworked! The nurse acts like she has never been to nursing school. She never returns messages. I have left 2 messages with no return call. Never get the results of any urinalysis. Don't waste your time! The doctor gives a medication and says that's all she can do. Very negative doctor. Needs to go back to school to see new treatments.

Best urologist I've ever seen. She listens intently and answers all questions. Never seems to be in a rush or hurry. So happy that I found her!
