Dr. Brenda May, DO

Do not bring your family members here. Dr.May was my sister's doctor she is a compulsive liar, poor bedside manner, and extremely negligent. She lied about the progression of my sister's cervical cancer after radiation and mild chemo treatments. After my sisters follow up visit after completion of her last chemo and radiation Dr.May called my sister in December 2019 and told my sister there was no cancer detected. While waiting to go back for another follow up to Dr.May my sister developed a fever and kidney infection and had to be admitted to her local area hospital. The doctors from her local hospital had to call the cancer center Dr.May office for 2 weeks to try and get my sisters medical records and Dr.May wouldnt call any of the doctors back. The local area hospital oncology still ran their test and informed us that her cancer was actually progressing and her tumor was blocking her bladder and kidneys. Dr.May wouldnt offer feeding through IV as she watched my sister rapidly lose o

Dr. May was a wonderful doctor to me. Dr. May was the one that did surgery on me and got me through chemo treatment and she was really good to me. If it wasn’t for Dr. May, I don’t know where I would be. Thank you Dr. Brenda May for taking care of me. I wish you was back at CTCA.

Dr. May is rude & she lacks the ability to listen to her patients. She has very poor communication skills & is unprofessional. She fails to allow her patients to participate in the development of their treatment plan. She does not treat the whole person. Strongly advise choosing another doctor!

Dr. May is one of the best doctors I have. She found the cancer, treated it right away and everything went well. She explained everything to me and what should be done. She doesn't drag her feet and as soon as results are in, she calls so you are waiting weeks to hear. She is an amazing lady as well as a doctor. She saved my life and I will be forever thankful to her. Her staff is pretty amazing too - plus you aren't sitting in the waiting room for hours. You get right in.

Dr. May is a caring professional who takes extra time to explain medical problems and answer questions.

Dr. May is extremely caring. She researches best practices and is very easy to talk to. I could not recommend her highly enough!!!!

Dr. May is outstanding. She is very personable and professional. She explains things well and in detail. She made me feel comfortable about what I was having done. She took the time to answer questions and discuss what to expect before, during and after surgery . I wish I could go to her for all of my health care needs. I love Dr. May, she is very knowledgable and she takes the time to explain and ease your mind with your situation. She performed Robotic surgery on me and I am now "normal" on my test results! I have been to a few different doctors and through many exams, biopsies, tests and until I met her I was on the verge of cervical cancer. Thanks to her I am no longer in danger of this. She is the best! Thank God for placing her in my path to help heal me. I recommend her 100%.

Dr. May is professional, knowledgeable, and personable...all in one great doctor. I am EXTREMELY pleased with all aspects of my interactions with her during my illness and continuing follow ups. Would recommend her to anyone!

Both competent and compassionate, Dr. May is by far one of the best physicians/surgeons I have ever met. She takes time to explain everything in easy-to-understand language, never seems rushed, and always has time for questions. Her surgical skills are top-notch...proficient in the DaVinci robotic surgery. From the moment of my diagnosis thru my surgery and follow-up appointments, Dr. May's excellent care has helped ease my mind as I know I am in the very best of hands!!

My experience with Dr. May has been nothing short of a blessing! I was diagnosed with stage 3b cervical cancer in May 2016 and Dr. May has been wonderful. You are truly treated like a person and not a number unlike some Physicians I have been to!

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Doctors such as this absolutely should not be allowed to practice medicine. I don't care what a doctor specializes in, you need to be educated about chronic illnesses. When a patient is seen for a legitimate issue this doctor tells them that symptoms of their chronic illness are "all in her head" and advises them to seek psychiatric help. You Doctor are the one who needs help. Educate yourself or do us all a favor and resign. You should be ashamed!

FIVE STAR ***** Dr. Brenda May is everything that a doctor should be and more. She and her staff took the time to go over the protocol for treatment and scheduling my appointment. I had some basic surgical questions & concerns after my surgery and Kristy & Ginger were very Professional and helpful with all my questions. Dr. May is an outstanding physician and lovely person. Dr. May and her staff are wonderful. When you are diagnosed with a health issue it can become as much mental as it is physical. Dr. May has always taken the time to explain and answer all of my questions. I would and have recommended her to others.

Dr. May is an awesome doctor. She is very well educated in her area of expertise and very capable of explaining it in laymans terms. She is available to answer all questions and is very empathetic. Her support staff are very friendly and helpful as well. She is very passionate about her work and works very hard to be the best in her field as well as meet her patient's needs. She is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.
