Horrible bedside manner, disgustingly rude, horrible doc ignored everything I told him of my previous medical history, discharged me just as ill as when admitted, was aggressive and refused to leave my room until cussed out, then still turned and smirked at me. It’s clear he’s not comfy being questioned which is the sign of a horrible doc. This dude is disgusting and needs his attitude adjusted. UNC you need to be better than this!!

RN who saw through this doc insecurities – Jun 09, 2021

Dr Pyles was my doctor while inpatient at Rex/unc and his bedside manner is harsh, does not display empathy, sound medical knowledge and zero listening to pt concerns. He pushed against any diagnosis possible but a “ catch all” diagnosis of IBS. I do not trust his opinion,” God complex” appearance, rarely present in my room, narrow minded attitude. It simply appears that he doesn’t want to find an answer or either doesn’t have the knowledge to obtain an answer for medical diagnosis. If you ask him questions, he immediately takes an offensive statue and acts as if pt is not accurate with symptoms they state. I had an allergic reaction to meds under his watch and he didn’t even act concerned, nor desire to administer Benedrayl without me being pertinent. I had to request a new hospitalist and he tried to delay that, until I got hospital administer involved. I’m sorry for anyone that ends up under his care

You don't get to pick your Hospitalist, I have the bad luck of meeting Dr Brandon Pyles while inpatient at Rex hospital in Raleigh. What a cold fish, he doesn't even look at you when he speaks to you...as well as he calls you on the room phone rather than waking in from the nursing station. I complained to both of my awesome nurses during my three day stay and they said even we don't like his attitude.
