I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Cometti. He listened to my concerns and gave me a couple of options for treatment. The staff was able to work me in earlier when there was a cancellation.

My son had an new patient appointment today. Something came up at te last minute and he was unable to leave work. I decided to take his appointment because I didn't want to cancel at the last minute and it takes months to get an appointment. When I walked in I over heard the receptionist being very rude on the phone. "No, it doesn't matter if it's a melanoma, we have no new patient appointments till December, no it doesn't matter if you have a referral." She then told me " No, you cannot take your son's appointment ". For an exam, really? I have never been treated so rudely in a doctor's office in my life. I've heard Dr. Cometti is an excellent doctor but I would drive to Lubbock before I would be treated like that again.

Staff at the window were absolutely rude. The one in the front was not friendly what so ever and the lady in the back office of the window was giving me dirty looks the whole time I was registering. I even smiled at her and nothing. However the staff once your called into the room and the physician himself were wonderful.

I've twice seen Dr Cometti for dermatological care. He is thorough and considerate, listens to the patient's concerns and shares decision-making with the patient.

I am of the opinion that the staff make or break an office and this staff really needs some customer service training. The doctor seems perfectly capable and genuinely seems to care about patients but you can’t get to see him without going through rude and unprofessional receptionist staff. Very unfortunate!
