Office Staff Issues
Dr. Bushnell is a great doctor but it is hard to see through the office staff doing everything in their power to keep patients from seeing him. He helped me more than once with the same issue but after waiting a month to finally get the see him again the office staff turned me away because I wouldn't pay for an Xray that would have been useless in my situation. It was just a money grab on their part and I am not sure who allows them to turn patients away because they refuse an Xray on an issue that cannot be seen on an Xray. MRI is the only way to see the issue so of course I refused an Xray. So they said I couldn't' see the doctor who also suffered with my same issue for many years. My only reason for going that day was to talk about surgery.

I would recommend him, you can tell he's good at what he does. I felt very rushed in my appt and not listened to like I thought I should be. I waited a long time just to be rushed through is my thought.

Dr. Bushnell is the best Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever met. After having much less than good outcomes from prior knee surgeries, he took over my care and I now have full use of my knee and no pain! He takes time to listen, and discuss all options. You never feel rushed and he explains things in a way you can understand. Dr. Bushnell also did shoulder repair for me and again I have full use and range of motion and no pain. He does not rush to do surgery, but if other options don’t work, he is the one you can trust to do your surgery! He has an awesome staff as well. I am 69 years old and he is truly as interested in my quality of life as a much younger patient! All I can, say, (and I am retired from the medical field), he is the best!

Our active family has had the opportunity to visit Dr. Bushnell with 10 separate incidents. We could not have ask for better care. If incident 11 occurs, we'll be calling Dr. Bushnell without question.

I have personally never met Dr. Bushnell but was seen by Ashley. The 2nd time in for OA of the knee with an accident causing a flare up. Unable to stand or bare weight, w/ mod. to severe pain leaving me in tears. I'm told I must wait 2-3 weeks to get an inject. approved. Explained I work 12hr shifts requiring excessive walking & standing. Was told "if you can't work then you can't work". Was fit with a brace but unable to tolerate the pain it caused. Called the office and explained my employer stated if I was going to be OOW up to 3 weeks I must file for FMLA. Was told they would get right on that & paperwork was immediately submitted. Called the office last Friday crying in pain asking for someone to please return my call. Heard nothing until Tues. when I receive a "matter of fact" call stating Dr. Bushnell said he never approved me taking time off of work and would not allow FMLA. Requested I speak with someone that could help. Told they both are on vacation.

Dr. Bushnell did a terrific job on my shoulder. I love to kayak and within six weeks after surgery, i was back on the water (on a tame river)! One year out and I have full range of motion, no pain, and am 100%+ better than I was before my injury!

Dr. Bushnell fixed my knees after I was barely able to walk from a fall, later performed surgery on my torn RC, is following my daughter for her knees now and his office gave me an emergency appointment today so I wouldn't have to go to the ER. I love his bedside manner and the way he explains-and shows you on XRays, etc. Seeing him is like seeing a family friend.
