Steer clear!
This man was unbelievably rude, borderline mean. I’m 68 years old and NEVER had any caregiver treat me the way dr Williams did. Arrogant beyond measure - I don’t care how good a surgeon he is (and he thinks he’s the best) — there is absolutely no excuse to behave the way he did with me.

Five years of excellent orthopedic care
I have been seeing Dr. Williams for five years now. I have had two knee replacements (one on each knee), a meniscus repair and shoulder surgery. I am very confident in his ability to deliver excellent skill and care. I have recovered very quickly from his procedures and attribute that to his skill. My most recent surgery was a knee replacement in which I was back to playing pickleball 6 days a week in 5 weeks time. I call that success.

Best in town that I have found.
Dr. Williams was the 3rd doctor I have seen for a bad knee. I found him to be personable, sometimes a little short with his comments- but afterall he is a surgeon and not a GP. He took his time, explained the intended proceedure and made me feel completely at ease. I have talked with several people who have had total knee replacements by Dr. Williams and they had nothing but good things to say about their experience. His office staff is just the best! My wait time for an appointment was less then 10 days, for a new patient in Prescott, that's incredible. His staff is professional and caring, especially his surgery coordinator Loundon and his insurance/billing gal Erica. Wonderful people. I am looking forward to a good outcome with my knee replacement next month.

Unbelievable
The worst. This doctor was so rude, arrogant and unprofessional that I cancelled my surgery the day before it was to have been done. I have since found a surgeon that I trust and admire very much. The staff at Dr Williams’ office were very friendly professional.

Totally rude and wants all patients to do surgery. He claims he has a secret for doing knees but if I had to depend on his lies I would to go Flagstaff before I did anything with him. The other Dr.s in the practice are not doing his new surgery . He is alittle weird and self-destructive, Beware!! I"m glad I listened to some of his patients, in the waiting room.

I leave this review as a spouse of a patient. My husband has had three knee surgeries performed by Dr. Williams. First, a torn meniscus followed by a partial knee replacement 19 months later. Nine months later, a total knee replacement on the other knee. Three knee surgeries in two years?! Is my husband doing too much too soon? Re-injuring himself? Is there something wrong with the surgery? I believe that my husband is doing too much too soon. Today, my husband was told by Dr. Williams that I am holding him back in his recovery and that he, my husband, should listen to him, Dr. Williams, not me. His total knee replacement on his right knee was four weeks ago, he is taking oxycodone and has significant swelling. Should my husband be driving while taking oxycodone or be climbing a ladder to change bird feeders - not in my opinion. Dr. Williams answer was that other patients are doing much more this far into their recovery and that I should not hold him back. My opinion doesn't matter.

I was referred to Dr. Williams by the VA for a broken shoulder I got in a motorcycle accident. My leg was also injured and as a courtesy he took a look at my ankle. He told me to get to the emergency dept. as soon as possible. He probably saved my leg because my ankle was infected and needed immediate attention. I can't thank him enough for taking the extra time with me. He is a great guy, easy to talk to and I would recommend him to anyone seeking an honest and professional orthopedic physician. Thanks, Ron

My visit with Dr. Williams was nothing short of life changing. After a year and a half of hearing there was nothing wrong with my shoulder, he provided me with an actual diagnosis and better yet, he listened to me. He asked for my opinion as to what the problem was and even though I was wrong, he really paid attention to what I was saying which I’ve found is very rare for most physicians these days. While my issue has not resolved completely, I feel I’ve found someone I can trust to follow through. Highly recommend. Side note: everyone I encountered in the office was phenomenal.

My husband has had two rotator cuff surgeries done with Dr. Williams (he's had a total of 5) in the past six months - no other surgeon would do one of his shoulders. Dr. Williams is extremely skilled - his confidence assured us of successful outcomes. The results have been amazing! Thank you, Dr. Williams!

Dr. Williams is nothing short of amazing. I've seen many doctors prior and was jaded, to say the least, certain I’d never play drums again after having to quit due to serious pain and movement problems. I didn't think my shoulder issues would ever be diagnosed, let alone fixed, but Dr. Williams changed all that. Not only was he courteous and professional, he knew what surgery I needed and successfully found and fixed a very rare and unique problem. I now have a whole different outlook on life.

Two years ago today, Dr. Williams fixed my broken hip with three pins. Today I am good as new and so grateful that I am resuming a full life of complete and painfree mobility. Thank you Dr. Williams for a job well done. Sincerely, Mary Strouse

I saw Dr Williams with shoulder/arm pain. I was referred to him by my internist. He spent time with me asking questions & actually listening to me! I ended up getting two injections. I am out of pain & very appreciative to have found Dr Williams. He is a wonderful breath of fresh air!

I saw Dr. Williams for hand pain and numbness due to osteoarthritis. He gave me a cortisone injection in my right wrist and I felt great relief almost immediately. It has been 2 weeks since my injection and I have much improved mobility and no numbness. The pain I felt is all but gone.

I am recently retired from a long career in the medical field. As well, I recently injured my shoulder. I just knew I needed surgery. Because of Dr. Williams stellar reputation as an orthopedic surgeon I chose to see him. In no time, he had my shoulder feeling like new again and we avoided surgery. Dr. Williams bedside manner is very personable, warm and friendly. He really tries to get to know you. I hope I never need his services again, but if I do, he’s the only orthopedic surgeon I’d go!

He is a superior surgeon. He has performed two surgeries on my left and right shoulders respectively. I have known him for over 10 years. Dr. Williams is a well-known familiar face at local adult and youth Karate and Kick Boxing events, as well as many similar other competitive events in the Verde Valley. Usually his wife and family accompany him. He makes the well needed determination when a contestant is injured, if they can continue safely. He does evaluations of injuries free of charge. A+
