Great Doctor
When he was a surgeon in Pittsburgh he did my father’s surgery. He was very informative about the procedure but his compassion and patience were amazing too. Such a great doctor/person.

Another Reviewer in 2021 had a very Similar Experi
Dr Taylor may or may not be a good surgeon, I wouldn't know. Because I arrived at the hospital at 7:05 for an 8am procedure (having spent the night in a hotel in Baltimore because I live in Delaware) only to be told I was not on the schedule. No one notified me, although I subsequently was told they knew2 days prior that they would be postponing my surgery. Dr Taylor's staff completely dropped the ball on notifying me. And once I was told, no effort whatsoever was made to comfort me or even to explain. The hospital stay for the procedure I expected to be receiving that day is 4-5 days, followed by a recovery time of 4-6 weeks. Can you imagine what plans and arrangements one must make in order to accommodate that?! All trashed. Since then no one in his office has reached out to me and, most especially, he has not taken three minutes of his life to drop an email saying he's sorry or his staff sucks or sonething, anything, to demonstrate that he acknowledges my humanity.

I was scheduled for a heart surgery at 6:45 AM I arrived at 5o’clock in the morning for surgery. I was having some anxiety issues and talk to his staff who stood there and watched me have a severe anxiety break down and offered no assistance. I never once got to speak to Dr. Taylor as a nurse let it slip that he was in emergency surgery. After sitting there for 4 1/2 hours waiting for surgery I finally find this out. I have never got any contact from him or his office since I walked out of the hospital because of lack of communication and empathy. I am writing this the following day and I have not heard from him or his staffFor an explanation some of his staff is rude and has no compassion.Do I think he is a good surgeon I wouldn’t know as far as him calling his patients back to find out why they walked out prior to surgery I would have to say it’s not very professional well I use him no would refer him no. Will be writing to the ethics Board yes

I have been working with physicians for over 20 years. I seen some I would recommend and some I would not. Dr Taylor is by far a top notch surgeon. A doctor who truly cares about a patients health. I would highly recommend him to any patient in need of cardiac care.
