First time appt with Dr. Rolfe
I was very hesitant to keep my appt with Dr. Rolfe due to the reviews listed here and google, I am young and take into consideration online reviews, I was pleased with his bedside manners and he listened to my concerns, explained in detail and ordered necessary testing with the concerns I presented

Office Visit
Had my first visit with Dr. Rolfe today. Have been a patient of CPC for the last eight years. I was terribly disappointed with his attitude from the start. He criticized me taking vitamins and past prescriptions ordered by past CPC doctors. He had nothing good to say and was extremely combative. I will go elsewhere and would not recommend him to anyone.

Worst of the worst I’ve ever seen
He was rude, arrogant, disrespectful and ignorant of some basic medical facts. Insisted what he was saying was true, showed me the latest recommendations on one medical concern which he clearly had misread. His lack of knowledge is dangerous—if I had taken his advice on either of the 2 medical concerns we “discussed” (he lectured me on) it could have caused heart failure. I know more than he does about some issues but he insisted I was wrong. Accused me of attacking him because I said I disagreed with his misinformation and complete dismissal of what I know about medicine and my own body. I had arranged disability accommodations ahead of time which he abruptly refused to allow. Refused to order needed blood tests or prescribe needed routine meds. Complete waste of my time and emotional energy. I’m writing so that others will know to avoid him at all costs. Staff there however were very nice professional and helpful.

I saw Dr. Rolfe as a new patient for an annual physical exam. The exam itself was fine. Several days after the exam I received a call from a nurse stating my cholesterol was high and she wanted to know what pharmacy to call a prescription into. I had not seen my lab results and when I ask her she did not know them and had to look them up. There was no discussion on options of treatment or medication being recommended. I told her I would prefer to try to manage it with diet and exercise first. She said fine and that was then end of the conversation. I have not received any follow up by Dr. Rolfe or anyone at Commonwealth Family Physicians since then.
