I had a brain biopsy performed by Dr. Bagan in 2021 and woke up with my left side paralyzed. I've had to go through years of rehab and still can't walk or use my left hand. My 2nd brain biopsy was performed by Dr. Tate at Northwestern and it was completed perfectly. If you were my family or friend I'd say go elsewhere for brain surgery. I'm disabled for life.

I have never felt more comfortable speaking with a doctor. Dr. Bagan does not talk down to me, but we speak as easily as if we were neighbors. I have had a few procedures and I am confident that Dr. Bagan is the man to fix me, once and for all. He is not only my neurosurgeon, he is my friend. While facing surgery on my skull, that is a good feeling!

Let me make this perfectly clear - He is a joke of a doctor with a huge ego. He as low man on the totem poll at office in Libertyville,IL. Other doctors had full schedule so he decided to see me an my severe lower back pain (near sciatica). Guess what his diagnosis was? "I'm not sure what it causing the pain. We can try surgery again to see if it changes things". No clue what the plan was, just to have me go under knife and hope! I told him get lost, and filed complaint with office manager. She was not surprised. STAY AWAY people in Iowa. I understand he is there now. Bouncing from state to state.

4/18/2012 I went to work walking fine . Went for micro disectomy preformed by DR.Bagan . Woke up and had little to no use of R leg . 1 well later he preformed again . This time he ruptured my spinal Fluid. He then left State of MD . Ive had 2 more surgeries that has rocovered 60% - 70% use of leg . Live on pain meds . I lost my job at postal service . I just lost my house . Everything I had is gone . Look somewhere else before trusting . He left me with nothing but pain and grief.
