Veneer Nightmare?????
Teeth were improperly prepped and veneers placed incorrectly. Needed two sets of veneers, the first set came back with the incorrect size and color from the lab. Dr. Picot did not send my labs for correct shaping as he stated he would and is customary. One veneer was chipped when removing cement after placement. Tried working with the office for the past 11 months to no avail. Developed a gum abscess during treatment as Dr. Picot placed my temporaries too high and food became lodged and trapped. I have since needed to have a root canal. Incorrect information provided about insurance and billing. Office requests that you provide signatures while your back is placed to the screen while in the exam chair. Dr. Picot stated during my consultation that a nightguard would be provided complimentary, at the end of my treatment he stated that it would no longer be complimentary but half price due to the additional visits through no fault of my own, but his.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my fellow Alum from UNC Chapel Hill (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Dr. Bradford Picot, and his entire staff at Southend Dentistry for the love and support that they showed me and my family at my recent cleaning and restoration appointment. The total experience was mindblowing. From the beginning until the end of my services, his team made us feel at home. Thank you Wendy (dental hygienist) for your 30 years in this industry of serving others and having steady, but gentle hands! Dr. Picot and his staff were all wonderful. I felt safe and comfortable in his office. He explained to me what I needed and should have done in that one visit. He informed me of issues other dentist never addressed. In the past I have had a terrible experience with the dentist that performed my root canal in 2017. So of course I was afraid to hear what was going to come next. But Dr. Picot and his assistant took care of me. For that I am very grateful. Everything is completed in his office. Dr. Picot makes his own cromns and onlays right there on the spot, there's no need to come back to have them completed. I think I'm gonna keep him as my dentist!!?? Thanks again for the wonderful service. Thanks for being open for all of us in need of a great dentist...Dr. Picot, you and your staff rock!!!?????? **I apologize for not remembering everyone's names.

Please read the negative reviews and look for common factors before choosing this dentist. I visited SouthEnd Dentistry for a 6 month cleaning. They performed X-rays and a cleaning and then informed me I needed a root canal and had a handful of cavities. I was overwhelmed with the amount of information and extreme confidence that Dr. picot displayed and agreed to put a down payment for the root canal appointment despite having 0 pain in the said area of root canal or cavities. I found it very off putting to have to put a "down payment" on this procedure and felt pressured to say yes. After (thankfully) getting a second opinion at another dental office, I was told I in no way needed a root canal, had one small cavity, and that SouthEnds X-ray machine was clearly broken because the images had strange mirrored markings. My new dentist was appalled and confused of where the idea that I needed a root canal came from. So happy I have changed dentists and did not go through with an extremely

The staff was excellent! I didn’t have to wait long at all to be seen. I was concerned with how much work that would have to be done since I haven’t seen a dentist in a while, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I felt very comfortable!
