Missed diagnosis (in spite of radiological test and other evidence) and let my wife suffer in agony for 2.5 days. She would have died as a result of an intestinal blockage without intervention of other surgical staff. It is our understanding that his hospital admission privileges were terminated after this incident.

I would not recommend him. He is not interested in explaining the treatment plan or what is going on. After 3 days, fortunately a resident got me a second opinion and that surgeon, after reviewing record said I needed surgery immediately and added me on to his surgery schedule after an operating schedule all night. I hate to think what would have happened had I not gotten a second opinion. Sept. 2019

He may be a very capable radiologist however his bedside manner needs major improvement. We call him the "30 second man" since that all the time he told us he had when we had questions for him before a surgery while in Sparrow Hospital. We are going to try to follow up with a different doctor after my husband's release. Not very helpful.
