Dr. Runyan helped me with my recurring sinus infections. For years I would get sinus infections that didn't drain. After a couple of years of dealing with them he suggested sinus surgery for a concha bullosa and to open up the sinus cavity. It's been almost a year with no sinus trouble. I am so happy. The surgery didn't hurt; there was almost no blood. I only needed one day off from work. It was an easy surgery and recovery and the results are great! Thank you, Dr. Runyan.

I saw Dr Runyan 3 times for sinus issues and felt like it was a horrible experience. I did not like his bedside manner. He came across as very negative. I'm sure he is an expert in sinuses but he acted like he didn't know anything, which didn't give me much confidence in him. He barely looked at me at my appointments, was dismissive of my symptoms, and did not ask very many questions. In hindsight I think he prescribed medications I didn't need just to "give me something" even though I wasn't pushy about wanting meds. I also wish there had been more counsel before prescribing some of the more intense medications he gave me. There was no discussion of drug interactions or side effects so I basically had to do all my own research after the fact. This is not his fault but making appointments, follow-up appointments, and waiting for insurance to approve tests took forever. I did appreciate his nurse Sharon taking the time to talk kindly to me on the phone several times.

Dr. Runyan always takes the time to listen and discuss the diagnosis and outline all the options and his recommendations. I like his easy-going common sense approach. He has a relaxed, pleasant way about him with good bedside manners. I have been going to him for years, and he always treats me with respect. I never feel rushed. Most importantly, I trust him. It can be difficult to get an immediate appointment because he is very booked! His staff has always been exceptionally warm and helpful.
