Dr. Boyd Benefield, MD

I have been a paitent of Dr. Benefield for years and feel lately like I am seeing a different doctor. He is rushing in and not listening to me at all, blowing off my complaints and not giving me answers to any of my questions. Example: I am memory loss consisting of many years of my life and will not remember doing this review and he laughed it off and said 'we all forget where our car keys are every now and then.' My husband would have punched him. Trying to find someone else as I type.

He is the best! I've been a patient for 30 years and wouldn't think of going to anyone else. He's caring, considerate and he listens to what you have to say. If your lucky you might be able to become a patient of his if he's taking new patients.

Dr Benefield is a wonderful and caring doctor! He goes above and beyond to treat you and to get you well. I was a patient of his fathers until he retired and I was sent to see his son and I am so happy that I did. My mom was also a patient of both Benefields until she passed away. Dr Benefield did so much for my mom and for me to take care of her during her going in and out of the hospital before she passed away. And his nurse Roxanne is also a wonderful help and she just takes care of so much and I appreciate her also for what she does. If you want quality care with a great bed side manner, then you need to call Dr Benefields office and make an appointment. You will be so glad you did. I am so happy that I have him as my doctor again because he is the best!!

Dr Benefield is the BEST. He has been my Doctor off and on for 35 years. He encourages me to participate in my care. I would have no other Primary Care Physician!

I went to Dr. Benefield 2 months ago to try and get the pain in my shoulder which has become severe diagnosed. He sent me out for blood work and Xrays that cost me almost $200 but I have yet to hear from him since then. I called and they said they would call me when he wants to see me again. I'll be requesting that my case be given to a different doctor tomorrow.

I have long been a patient of Dr. B. 1.5 years ago this would've been 5 stars easily. The 2 is because the quality of care has significantly diminished. He's extremely busy and just 1 guy and I get that. The big issue here are call backs, blood work results, etc. If the nurse is the call back, pray its nothing urgent. It's a crap shoot you even get a call back at all. The lack of attentiveness and peer to peer care has been reduced to a 2 min, breathe in, breathe out, open wide, goodbye visit.

I have been a patient of Dr. Benefield for many years.. Sometimes the wait seems long, but he is very caring and there have been times when he spent a long time with me when I needed him to, so I don't mind waiting for him. The staff is mostly great.. Suzi at the sign in desk is so friendly and always asks about my grandchildren.. the girls in the insurance department are so helpful. Sometimes the nursing staff seems too busy but eventually gets everything done. Highly recommend
