Dr Bogomilov
I have seen Dr B for three years now. I was referred to him by another cardiologist who did not think there was any hope for me. He only referred me after I asked if he was going to just send me home and do nothing. On my first visit with Dr B and after a consultation with me about my symptoms, etc. He came over, put his hand on my shoulder and in a very comforting voice told me 'We can fix you.' And they did by first trying non invasive methods and moving on to shocking my heart and then to an ablation. I feel great now and do so appreciate the Dr. B and the staff at Walker Heart Institute for not giving up on me.

Already sick of you before he's met you
He was confident that I do have some sort of autonomic dysfunction and also confident that he does not want to be the one to treat me. I was barely able to get a word in. He had an entire speech ready to roll before he met me that basically summed up to that I was wasting my time - and his - by being there because there's nothing he can do to 'magically fix me.' I never mentioned expecting to be 'magically fixed.' I was just there to schedule a test.He said that he would schedule the test I wanted and refer me to a specialist clinic anyway, felt like he was just humoring me.Got what I wanted, but GEE WHIZ. Not keen on seeing him ever again, felt like scum when I left.

Exceptional Doctor
My grandmother came in super weak after not being referred until it was almost too late. Dr. Bogomilov didn't sugarcoat anything but he was never negative. He promised to do his best and he did. She came out with both a new pacemaker and on the other side of a cardiac ablation and healed beautifully. He was professional, but took the time to give wonderful bedside manner. Grandma wasn't smiling too much after, but once Dr. Bogomilov came in and mentioned bringing her chocolate, she smiled big. My family and I don't have enough good words to say about this whole hospital but especially Dr. Bogomilov. He's the best!

Since receiving my pacemaker in the winter of 2019, and now being monitored electronically thru a Boston Scientific device, I was contacted by Bogomilov's office about a concern. During a round of tennis, they noticed an arrhythmia and recommended a heart cath, which I agreed to. After nothing was found, Bogomilov recommended that I upgrade to a defibrillator, which is much more restrictive. He never met with me personally about this issue. He had his nurse relay that information during a tele-visit, and wanted me to schedule the surgery. I then sought a second opinion from a highly respectable Electro Physiologist who looked at my results and determined that all I had was an elevated heart rate due to exercise. He said flat out, "You do not need a defibrillator." Do your research and make the best decision.

Dr. B placed a pacemaker in my husband without trying any antiarrrhythmics first. My husband had very little blockage so ablation was unnecessary. In May my husband went for his regularly scheduled visit to have it checked and was told that he had been "clinically dead" for a while . He went back for tests a week later and they found nothing wrong. However, the diagnosis of being clinically dead set off a bipolar episode that continued until his death of a cardiac event in less than 3 months.

Dr. Bogomilov was a big help when my son's heart went into atrial fibrillation. He ran a camera into his atrium through a vein in his thigh. Dr. B kept me informed, though it's hard to understand him at first w/his accent. But he's always happy to slow down & explain things thoroughly. I saw him when I felt my heart skipping beats. He had me wear a home heart monitor for 48 hours & note when I felt a skip. The test showed clear & he said it was due to anxiety, which mimics heart trouble.
