Bad experience with this doctor
Go to another nerve doctor in New Jersey. I went to one in Princeton for a second opinion after Dr. Chen’s office misdiagnosed me in July. Princeton sent me to a neurologist who diagnosed me correctly in September. Dr. Chen’s office wanted to give me two injections in my back omg. Nothing is wrong with my back. Disk bulges are minimal in my back. Princeton looked at my MRI images that were done in July because Chen prescribed MRI’s for my back. He is a greedy doctor who has no feelings. I wish I never went there. Or went to his friend Dr. Ahn who recommended me Dr. Chen. Only good thing about Dr. Chen’s office is the physical therapists there. They are all really good. Other than that there are doctors there in his office that are not good in my opinion including Dr. Chen.

Terrible experience
Dr,Chen, was the worst pain management doctor I have seen. If you're in pain I highly suggest looking elsewhere. He spent a total of 5 minutes with me, while the nurse spent the rest of her time filling out medical information that I'd already filled out.I explained my back pain, which he recommended acupuncture. I've been in agony with this, and explained I'd like a epidural injection for sciatic pain. He looked bewildered when I mentioned the injection. He said he didn't know what I was talking about. I then explained to Dr Chen it was on his website. He said he doesn't do injections, ignored the extreme level of agony I was in. Didn't prescibe anything at all for me. Handed a script to get a xray done. I went to the front desk when the receptionist was on the phone, didn't look up or acknowledge me for 10 minutes, I walked out in pain. This doctor is only money hungry, and beware with the appeals form, which they hold you responsible for lawyers fees. Do yourself a favor and see

This dr. Chen is money hungry. You can’t trust him I had a procedure done in the office and he had his other do the procedure after they gave me anesthesia. WARNING.

Dr. Chen is very thorough. He makes sure he fully understands what you're going through. And Dr. Chen and everyone else in his group seem to genuinely care about you and the pain you are in. I'm so glad I found them.

Great doctor and a true expert in his field. Took the time to explain my condition, his diagnosis, and plan to me and made me feel very comfortable throughout my experience.

Somehow, did not comprehend my pre-existing (1995 Auto-Accident) significant 'Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction with severe Spinal-Instability' and how I am being crippled by pain. Total waste of a $50 co-pay. Unfortunately for me, did not even attempt to treat any of my pains. Complete waste of time. Even worse pain now since overextending myself to visit him. Otherwise a very nice Doctor.

I started going to this doctor on April 4, 2017. I had been dealing with pain in my groin/hip area for several months, which got increasingly worse under the care of an orthopedic doctor in a ritzy office. The office here, has outdated furniture but is clean. When I first went there, I was on crutches, then a cane. Today I walked in to see the doctor with no help. The care is exceptional, and their goal was to make me better. I still have a bit of a way to go, but I know I am in capable hands.
