left me worse than I started
I went in to remove a couple painful bone spurs in my ankle. I was told the surgical procedure was simple and recovery would take 4-6 weeks. It's been 14 months and I've spent $13k out of pocket trying to fix the pain post surgery. My pain is far worse than before surgery. I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT use Dr. Bob.

Great Podiatrist!
I desperately needed new custom orthotics and I was able to be seen by University Foot and Ankle Institute within 24 hours. Dr. Bob is great! He is very friendly and made me great custom orthotics. My feet feel so much better!

I do not recommend Dr. Bob Baravarian as a podiatrist. He told me to wear Birkenstocks and sneakers with the most cushioning and support ,- at all times, so that my feet would never touch the ground. I have arthritis in my feet and tendonitis in my shins, so I actually need to regain the muscles in my feet and ankles to heal. His recommendation made my condition much worse. The orthotics he made me were painful and I had to throw them away. After telling him this, he suggested I let him give me stem cell. I said no. Save your money and your time, and don't see him.

On my first visit I received an x-ray, the fellow was informative, but when Dr. Baravarian came in he was hsort with me and said I needed Physical Therapy. I asked for a guess on diagnosis; nothing. I did not get to see my xray. Several weeks of physical therapy and little improvement. My second appointment and still no information on what is going on. I need an MRI, when I called to ask about an ultra-sound as an alternative, I was told I'd have to come in for another appointment to talk about that. Honestly I feel like making money is more important than patient care.

My appointment with Dr. Baravarian put my mind at ease. I was fortunate to get appointment the same week I called. When I arrived the staff was friendly and courteous and they made sure my appointment was on time. Dr. Baravarian was so patient and he took the time to really listen. He also explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. He was knowledgeable and I left with a follow-up plan to remedy my condition. I highly recommend Dr. Baravarian and his staff.

Fantastic doctor, super smart and not arrogant (actually kind of funny). AND A GIFTED SURGEON. Too bad I did not go to him the first time I had, which led to me having a failed bunion surgery and was left to him to clean up the other doctor's mess and perform the correct type on bunion surgery. His surgery was painless and my recovery was actually easy. I kick myself to this day for not going to him first. Well, I would kick myself but I am not wanting to hurt my other foot

Dr. Bob is awesome! Extremely knowledgeable, very caring and a great sense of humor. He got me back running when no one else could, allowing me to finish my first marathon! He has also treated my young son with great care. I would not trust my feet with anyone else. Highly recommend!!!

This guy is all talk and all about the money. I was told I needed an MRI for a neuroma in my right foot. Of course he has a very suspect MRI machine in his office. I was told the charge for the MRI was $900 but my copay was $98 due to my insurance. I paid the $98 and had the MRI. Bavarian walk into the exam room and sheepishly stated the MRI was inconclusive. Meaning it was worthless and of no value to my diagnosis. Now his office say I owe another $380. I’m not paying. I should get a refund!

I just came back from seeing Dr. Baravarian and I went literally all the way from Atlanta to LA to see him. This is after 2 years and seeing at least a dozen other perfectly fine doctors. There is good and there is great. So here is why I was so impressed. Never tried to sell me anything more than I needed, actually was always trying to find the most efficient way to solve my persistent Achilles tendon problem. I never felt rushed either and finally he just knew more plain and simple!

13 weeks ago ( going on 14 weeks this Friay) Dr. Baravarian gave me a cartiva implant for a severely arthritic big toe. It was an outpatient procedure. I wore a boot for the first 2-3 weeks then switched to a comfortable sandal. The procedure was successful in that I can now truly state that my foot feels much better in an enclosed shoe ( a tennis shoe). Today was the first day in an enclosed shoe. The pain is gone. There is some discomfort but I am now confident it will heal completely. Anyone
