Dr. Bita Pour-Jafari, MD

I went to Dr. Jafari after moving to Houston and leaving my first doctor in Houston who I felt was dismissive prior to eventually being diagnosed by a specialist with what I feared. I saw the good reviews and made an appointment to try to find a more supportive doctor. After explaining to her how I felt my last doctor was dismissive to my concerns and I needed more support, she asked if I had borderline personality disorder. I was floored that she thought this would be an appropriate response when I was discussing chronic pain, migraines, fainting spells and cognitive issues all impacting my work. She asked for a copy of a psychiatric evaluation and this is all because I discussed migraines! My prescriptions are all wrong despite a printed list of all the details for them. She has since punted me to a nurse practitioner and I haven’t seen her since. I am now dealing with tests they ordered that were not covered (or helpful for my symptoms, or asked for - I only asked for an MRI).

Dr. Bita Pour-Jafari is an excellent doctor. She listens well, is very knowledgeable and friendly, and is easy to work with. Unlike many doctors, she takes the time with you that is needed, and is very competent in the help that she provides. My wife and I have both received outstanding care from her. Additionally, she and her staff are easily accessible, and when any type of referral or prescription is needed, it is taken care of within a few minutes of the end of your appointment.

I received via SMS the link to perform my check-in the day before. This was very convenient as I arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time, and I was called for my appointment right on time. The nurse went through her routine in a friendly and efficient way. The Doctor came in after that and we discussed the various topics that needed follow-up. I have been a patient of Dr Jafari and I appreciate her service very much. I would not see a specialist w/o consulting with Dr. Jafari first. Also, any time there is a need for a test or imaging or referral, she makes the recommendation where to go based on the insurance I have so as to make sure I get the best insurance coverage at the same time the best profesional services. She is an excellent GP doctor and I trust her with my life.I do not hesitate to recommend her.

I wish I was able to leave negative star in this review. Our experience with Dr. Pour-Jafari was unpleasant. She is overcharging you for the service she has already paid for. Please be aware if you are visiting her for your annual check-up (that covered by most health insurances). Before review of your lab report or any conversation, please confirm what she is going to discuss with you is covered, otherwise she will charges you an extra visit for discussion about your high blood sugar or overweighting compared to your last year or ... I would NOT recommend her to anyone. There are plenty of good family doctors and MD Physicians who are fair and spend more times with you without any overcharge. Don't Waste your time and MONEY.

I had her as my PCP for 3 years now and visited 2 time and now she tells me they don’t have my info and I’m a new patient. What ! So they lost my record ? This is major issue . I don’t recommend this doctor as they only want money rather than helping patients

Dr. Jafari takes the time to listen and explain things, offers options and I appreciate her honesty and guidance. I’ve enjoyed every visit with her over the last 3 years.

Id appreciate more help from front desk staff with referrals of specialty physicians. They said as the patient i have to call Medicare to find out which physicians accept my insurance. Things are very different from what they once were!

Dr Jafari is very absent-minded and distracted and She is extremely forgetful and not focused at all. She definitely not someone who you would trust as your health care provider. She never follows up on the lab results or reads them prior to the Appointments. She does not check with the insurance before ordering labs so you end up with large bills. The quality of her practice has declined drastically in the last year or so along with her bedside manner. She was more reliable in larger practices that she used to work at but her private practice is a complete mess and her staff are not professional. I would not trust her with my health decisions and I will not recommend her as a medical doctor.

DR. JAFARI was the best iv'e seen, listening, explaining and going over all my illnesses. Recommend anyone looking for a great family Doctor.

I feel totally blessed to have Dr Jafari as my physision. She is incredibly caring super smart and extremely dedicated. Her office staff is ibcrediblely dedicated always sensitive to the needs of the patient. I receive truly exceptional care right here in the heights just three blacks from my home.

I had many physicians due to moving and insurance changes, but for a short period that Dr. Pour-Jafari was my primary doctor, I can state with confidence that she is one of my two favorites. She always listened carefully about my health concerns and was never in hurry to leave room during appointments as many other doctors that I encountered did. What is even more important, she immediately requested appropriate tests to identify my health issues. In the last 20 years I didn’t have insurance only for 1-2 years, and was regularly checking with other doctors, but despite my complaints on pain, no-one ever sent me to do ultrasound to diagnose if I have underlaying conditions, until dr. Pour-Jaffari. I will always be thankful to her for saving my life. The biggest loss that I have now that I’m leaving Houston is loosing such a great doctor.

With Dr. Pour-Jafari, you'll get best of both worlds. She'll not only gives her prognosis through up to date technology, but she and her wonderful staff are also very attentive and genuinely care! If you're not too sure about your current physician or not sure of who to go to, what do you have to loose? Just take a chance and go for your visit!! She has always comes through for me and my family! Thanks Dr. Bita for your service ma'am!

I really doubt if there is a word to describe what an incredibly, amazing, kind hearted, patient, and knowledgeable Dr. Pour-Jafari is. I have been her patient for 7 years now and I must admit she cares so much that delivers to her patient beyond her duties. She takes her time to listen to you as her patient. She then explains everything vert throughly making sure you understand everything from her diagnosis to treatment and etc. A couple years ago I had to change doctors due to my insurance and I must say experiencing with other doctors made me realize even more what an incredible doctor/human being Dr. Pour- Jafari is. She TRULY CARES! She gives with all her heart and I wish there was a word for me to tell her how thankful and appreciative of her I am! I feel super blessed to have THE BEST DOCTOR!!

Best doctor in town! She provides personalized care to her patients. She listens carefully and attentively to my concerns, and I leave appointments feeling that she actually cares about my well being. The other doctors I saw here in the area treated me as a "number," just one more item to cross off their to do list. I super recommend her as a great doctor!

Dr. Pour-Jafari is exceptional. Her staff for me in as a new patient immediately after hearing my symptoms when my primary care physician would not and offered an appointment a month out. Her staff was friendly and VERY efficient and the doctor herself was kind, compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable. She is a long drive for me, but I am definitely considering switching to make her my primary.

Dr. Jafari is amazing! I switched PCPs because I felt like just a number to my previous PCP. A friend recommended Dr. Jafari and now I see why. She treats her patients like she genuinely cares about them. I would rather drive across town to see Dr. Jafari than find someone nearby!
