Consistent long-term care
Telehealth
I have been a patient of Dr Amann for over 10 years now and have had a great experience. Working as a team, the two of us have crafted a precise regimen of medications designed to treat my chronic depression. I am able to set up appointments, either online or in office, to check in with her consistently and update my progress. Medication refills are handled quickly by her staff. I would highly recommend her for medicine therapy.

Excellent, compassionate care for my daughter
I’m really surprised by the negative reviews! My daughter has been seeing Dr. Amann for years. Dr. Amann has been nothing but compassionate, kind and responsive. She has helped my daughter with ADHD, depression and mood dysregulation. Her thorough, knowledgeable approach has saved her life and improved her quality of life. I think Dr. Amann is excellent and is worth the wait for the first appointment!

Don't - see a psychiatrist with research knowledge
She was arrogant and rude. She objects to providing explanations for medications and simply gives one then another then another. Everything else is shuffled off to a barely qualified Masters person with little knowledge

Do not go here
Do not go here. They make so many medication related mistakes, the office is rude and unhelpful, and they don't have any compassion. The mistakes have negatively impacted my life and they've requested prescriptions I don't need and they couldn't be returned which wasted my money.

I have been seeing Dr Amann for almost 2 years. As with most psychiatrists, it was a long wait time for my first visit, I expected that, that is why I had my therapist to visit on a weekly or twice weekly basis. Once I started to see Dr. Amann, it has never been a problem to get an appointment, even when I’ve needed one in an “emergency”. She knows her “stuff” when it comes to medication. I’ve been to numerous psychiatrists as I have lifelong mental problems. Finding the “right fit” in a Dr. takes a while, same with medication, but Dr. Amann has a knack of knowing what’s going to work. She gave me my life back! She is caring, listens, and makes time, but if you are looking for an hour of “talk time”, that’s what your therapist is for.

There is just something "not right" when you visit her office and Dr. Amann is a big part of this dysfunction. Her office staff is rude when you need to call for a billing question or appointment time. Dr. Amann doesn't get to know kids. She reads questions from her computer and rushes you out the door. She's giving my child serious medication but really avoids questions. I think she's competent but if you are looking for someone who is understanding, keep going. She doesn't care.

Save yourself the heartache and take yourself or your loved one elsewhere. Because of the character limit I will summarize briefly. Gorgeous office - plush furniture. Rude staff. Last minute cancelations but not for you - only the doctor. No flexibility in rescheduling. Doctor is a box checker - she does not get to know you as a patient. She will spend half your appointment reviewing what you said last time then rush you through the rest. No follow up. Forget if you or your loved on is in crisis

The rudest staff. Dr Aman is only in the business for money, nothing more. She has no compassion for her patients. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. There are good doctors out there for the right reason. My son was seriously ill and ended up in a mental hospital because of her.

Instead of making an appointment, staff wanted me to wait for a cancellation. They would call me with 24 hours notice. By the time they had one I could go to it was 2 months later. Her desk staff is rude. I felt strong pressured to put my daughter on ADHD meds when neither her teacher nor I had seen issues. They wanted to do expensive tests with an end goal of getting more medication.

Dr. Amann does not tolerate questions or comments. In addition, my daughter received poor medication advice from her. The fancy office does not make up for the lack of compassionate, respectful care.
