I knew I was in the right place the first minute.
Dr. Berryman is an experienced and compassionate provider of pain management care. Within the first couple of minutes with him, I was having him listen to my complaints. After thoroughly asking questions and evaluating the various imaging studies and tests and surgical procedures I've undergone, he proposed a plan of care that I knew would meet my needs. He is experienced in all aspects of his field, and his kind demeanor and thoughtful care, he showed his compassion and experience rather than boasting about it. I knew I was in the right place and I have not regretted it one moment.

One of the best
Very thorough do not go to him if you are just drug seeking or looking for a pill mill doctor. He is on the up and up tests you every visit and will release you without hesitation if you test dirty. He is a legitimate pain doctor. I was always scared to go to a pain clinic and refused for the longest time until laws got so harsh on family docs. Dr Berryman spends time with every patient and listens. He made me very comfortable and listens to all my medical problems. If you are looking for an office that has their patients best interest in mind go to him.

Dr. Berryman is wonderful, but long wait times.
Dr. Berryman has been wonderful for me, even if I don't agree with some of his practices. I do not like having to go every month to fill my prescriptions, but understand why HE finds it necessary. The office is VERY busy due to so few doctors working with the pain medication these days. The wait times can be very long. The office staff is wonderful even though there have been many changes. Dr. Berryman loves the injections and when they work, they relieve a great deal of pain. Sadly, they do not always work, but that is the nature of chronic pain, not a shortcoming of Dr. Berryman. Dr. Berryman served our country and serves this community during very difficult times.

AMAZING doctor and staff!!
Inviting facility and staff, Dr.Barryman truly cares and wants what’s best for his patients short-term and long-term. He’s has the education/knowledge/experience to perform many types of alternative options (ie, injections) to help with relief. His PA and nurses are helpful, kind and through. Wait times are never excessive… This is the 1st clinic I genuinely look forward to my appointments!!

I went in today for my initial visit to see Dr. Berryman for pain management and the only thing him and his staff cared about was taking me off medications that works for me. I immediately told Dr. Berryman and the girl that came into my rooms to assess me that what I was taking was working for me so I didn't want to change it. Dr. Berryman called the medication I'm on "garbage". He seemed to act VERY CONTROLLING and if you don't agree with his plan, then he's done with you but before he could tell me he was done, I let him know quickly that I REFUSED TO COME OFF MY MEDICATION THAT WORKS FOR ME TO WHAT HE WANTED ME TO DO WHICH WAS ME BARELY TAKING ANYTHING. I told him that I was wasting his time as well as they were wasting mine. I definitely DON'T RECCOMEND IF YOU HAVE REAL PAIN LIKE MYSELF. I HAVE RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, LUPUS, FIBROMYAGIA, OSTEOARTHRITIS & OSTEOPOROSIS SO MY PAIN IS REAL!!!

I have been to many pain management doctors in the past 25 years and I just had my 17th surgery in September 2019. He is by far the best pain management doctor I have been to. Dr. Berryman is very caring and he cares about my well being. In addition, he fully explains everything in detail to me and I appreciate all he does for me. I would recommend him to anyone who has chronic pain,.

Been going to this center for a few months...the wait has been anywhere from 1 hr. 15 minutes up to 2 hrs. Each visit the doctor pushed injections that I do not want because I've had before and didn't help. The doctor seems to have a one treatment works for all attitude and pushy. His office calls today (Tuesday) and demands l go by his office before end of this week to produce my id and insurance card which they have already on file and sign papers ive already filled out and signed a few months ago. I was just there a few days ago.....ridiculous...this isn't working out for me.

This Doctor helped me thru extreme pain that will only get worse with my disease. Autoimmune issues are no fun. He tried things that other Drs wouldn't. He treated me and my family with utmost respect. I went to him for 8 years and had to move overseas. I didn't receive the care I needed there for reasons out of my control. I am back after 1 and a half years and finally got a referral from my PCM. I hope I get back in as recurrent pain has no schedule, when it comes or goes all you know is that its been there. Dr Bill Berryman and his team will do the best they can for you. I give 5 stars for sure. Thanks Dr B. Jena Sherwood (Margaret )

horrible - After MRI diagnosed bulging discs in my neck, I was sent to this man for a nerve block shot. I have always been adamant about NOT wanting to bet on pain meds. I was treated like a suicidal drug addict, and told the ONLY thing wrong with me was large breasts, and women with large breast are ashamed of them and slump to hide them! When I tried to explain to him that I had been up for several nights with my Mom who was in the hospital and dying, he told me he had a patient the week before who lost her son, and that was way worse than what I was going trough. When I asked about the nerve block shot I was sent to him for, he said they never do it on the first visit, and they would call me after he got back from vacation to schedule it. I never got a call or message, but 6 months later got a no-show bill. I would have cancelled if anyone had called, I will never go back to anyone at Preferred Medical Group! Gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option...

I am a disabled veteran and his staff treated me like crap. I have been seen by him for about 8 months. For three months I was told by his receptionist that the VA paid my bill. At my 4th month I was hit with a huge bill then when I questioned it, the receptionist said I was disorderly and mean. I was told he would no longer see or treat me. Very rude and unprofessional. I would take a Gamester to the quak!

Dr. Berryman is very authoritarian. He has very little real compassion and shows it by his one size fits all methods. I have been a client of pain management for 10 years. during this time I have dealt with a number of 'pain specialist'. Although many were sometimes irritating , up until Dr. Berryman they at least considered my record and needs and worked with me. Not so with this Dr. He is anti-opiod even if you have been succesfully treated with a high quality of life . Go elsewhere.

Dr. Berryman saved my life. I was having major chronic pain/mobility issues due to failed back syndrome. Dr. Berryman recommended ozone injections at the nerve site. The injections gave me almost immediate relief. Now, almost 3 1/2 years later, I am very functional without medication, living in another state, enjoying a new career. Thanks Dr. B and the staff at Phenix City Pain Management!
