Office is still paper based, Dr doesn't listen.
This DR initially saw me in the hospital and seemed OK at that point. The office is paper based and first thing they have you download an ancient word document to fill out (not a PDF form.) The form seems to have been created by an intern as its really a mess asking for the same info several times. Then when you finally see the DR he's flipping through paper the entire time and reading incorrect information (on the first visit!) Gets medications mixed up from reading the wrong sheets even though asking the nurse to print out the current information. The office staff and nurses are friendly. All in all, would not recommend. Does not listen to what you have to say and wants to talk over and dictate what he wants to happen without a dialog. Asks if you have questions but doesn't really care about answering them.

Condescending and egotistical
Came into the room asked three questions did not wait for a response started speaking in an insulting manner and then when I questioned his actions and comments became irate. Just FYI you cannot use a chart to do a BMI to determine a persons state of health and well being , you need many additional things done such as bone density, muscle mass, water immersion etc. to make a snap judgement without even knowing a persons background is ludacris. So used to treating uninformed people, who don't ask questions or want cookie cutter, insurance diagnosis. Terrible office and manner, insulting business acumen, overinflated ego , not the least bit humble

I have been seeing Dr Matthews for a couple of years while he monitors a problem that I have. After reading the negative reviews about his disrespectful behavior and failure to explain a condition, I must post my disagreement. I love him, respect him, and am thankful for his directness. He is personable and wants to know about your health in your words. He cares. He listens. He will tell you as much as you need or want to know. He is serious. He is skilled. For me, these qualities are most important. To top it all, his office staff are courteous and efficient.

Dr. Mathews has been my cardiologist for 8 years. He’s done several Cath on me with success. One he was uneasy doing so he sent me to a doctor in Orlando. Hell of a doctor that admits when he’s not comfortable with a procedure. He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. I’ve put my life in his hands many times and I’m here to talk about it. His staff from answering phone calls to doing ekgs are totally knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend him to anyone.

Lots of experience with this practice. Both my parents had heart disease and had the best care with Dr Mody. And Dr Mathews When I had to see a cardiologist I went to the same office staff/doctors I was familiar with. Office staff set my appointment with Dr Mathews. I have faith in both doctors to take great care of me as they did my parents.

This physician was belligerent and borderline abusive at my visit. He did not read the chart before entering the room and refuted findings of previous tests and physician reports with no examination or suggestion of repeating procedures. I cannot recommend this man.

Doctor obviously did not read file or remember what he was told about me. He did not explain himself, or the tests he ordered. The tests he ordered, (cardiac monitor) the office forgot to order it and I had to call twice and go into the office once to get it ordered and when I received the monitor,it did not work in my area due to lack of cellular coverage as stated by the monitoring company. Thought the doctor should have known this before he ordered a $1500 device. Office mgr never called.
