Met Dr. Patel in sarasota hospital...treated me like I was the most important patient he had....VERY SMART, kind, caring, great sense of humor, allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to, very patient, worked well with the other doctors and allowed me to have a say in my recovery ....always smiling, laughing and being silly but quite serious about my condition. My hero. His partner, dr. Bilal is just as wonderful. Thank you, Dr. Patel for using your gift to help me.

Was in SMH Venice just after it opened 2 yrs ago to deal with a bad reaction to an outpatient treat elsewhere. Kidneys in trouble, low BP. Dr Patel assisted in stabilizing vitals, checked in every day. Have continued to see him every six months with full blood work. Very happy with him.

My husband was in icu last year with Covid. Several times throughout his stay at Sarasota Memorial, Dr. Patel would call me to tell me that my husband would never breath independently and his kidneys would never function. He tried to convince me "I was keeping my husband inhumanely alive and he was suffering even though he was in a medically induced coma. .y husband was in the hospital 108 days. 3 days after being sent to a long term care facility, he was sent to Northside in St. Pete. My husband was off dialysis and off the ventilator, talking, and making purposeful communication (another thing Patel told me he couldn't do). Today, 1 year later, my husband is 100% back to his pre covid self. He is working and his body is 100%. My husband was worth more dead than alive. How many other covid patients did Dr. Patel shame into pulling the plug on their loved ones? Dr. Patel has no business as a physician telling loved ones they are mistreating their family members. I would never recommend

I met Dr. Patel when I was hospitalized for a low sodium level. I found him to be caring and kind as well as knowledgeable about my condition. He took as long as I needed to answer questions and explain everything carefully and fully. I feel very safe in his care.

My other half broke her hip and experienced a low sodium level while in Rehab. It seemed prudent to follow discharge instructions with a follow up appointment so we made an appointment for May 12th 2pm. I didn't get the office location so a couple of days before the appointment I called not once but twice and was not able to get ahold of a human being at his office. The people answering the phone is a service who offered to transfer me over to the office but no one picked up? The listed address is in Venice and the reason I know that is we had to have blood drawn before the appointment. Today we drove down to Venice at 517 Riviera and the office was closed? I called the listed number from Hospital discharge paperwork and the answering service answered. Dr Patel may be a great Doctor but runs a BAD BUSINESS. I have an advanced degree and operational experience from the Army. Avoid at all costs!

Doc is always very thorough, personable, and will answer your questions. I like his kind straight forwardness because I like knowing where my kidneys health is and what I can tune in on to make life easier on them and me!

This Dr. saved my life! He is smart, young, beautiful smile and my hero! I no longer need dialysis! ??
