Dr. Bhavika Bhan, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr Bhan’s for over 10 years. She has been one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. She helped me get my type 2 diabetes under control and kept it in control, scolding me in a caring manner when I needed it. Encouraged me to seek other specialists with recommendations when other issues would present themselves. I highly recommend her & her staff!

Dr. Bahn is by far the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL doctor I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She was terse and uninterested in hearing my personal information. She decided she didn't like my tone and informed me of this. She curtly told me I could either fix my tone or we could end the appointment there. We tried to go on with the appointment(as I had wanted 6 months and wasn't really wanting to give up my spot) and I informed her, as she had me, that I was not ok with her tone or the way she was going about asking questions. She at this point began threatening to get a manager for the 'problem' we were having. I asked what problem. I was just informing her, as she had me, that I didn't care for the way she was treating me. She at this point began yelling and saying she would be going to get a manager. I asked why she was raising her voice. She promptly stood up, and said 'I have to get out of here.' She then had her manager come in and inform me she would not be taking me on.

When I was diagnosed with osteoporosis, my PCP referred me to Dr. Bhan. At first I was favorably disposed toward her advice. She wanted to get to the root cause of my problems, and thanks to her persistence with insurance companies (which didn’t want to pay for advanced testing), the data she amassed led me to the surgeon who found my parathyroid adenoma and removed it. So that’s the positive about my experience with Dr. Bhan.My problem with her was that she would not hear of any other ways of treating my osteoporosis than what she had decided for me. Though not thrilled about a 5-year course of alendronate sodium, I went along with it but determined that I would investigate better diet and better physical exercises to aid in my recovery while also taking Dr. Bhan’s prescribed medicine. But she seemed very unimpressed by my own efforts to aid in my recovery. Long story short, I asked my PCP for another endo referral. The new doctor listens and is a true partner in my care

I cannot believe the four stars for Dr. Bhan. She is one of the worst physicians I have ever dealt with. Now a year later, I'm starting my endo treatment all over again.

DrBhan is the best! She is very good. Goes over everything so I understand it. I go to her for thyroid. She even found a problem with my bone dense test that other Dr didn’t. Would not want any other Doctor

I feel comfortable recommending Dr. Bhan to friends and family she is the best Dr. I have ever had very professional and through.

I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed by an ENT. I'd never had any thyroid issues before the diagnosis, so anything thyroid related was new to me. The first endocrinologist I saw acted like she was put out having to answer my questions. I left her office so upset and knew I had to get a 2nd opinion. I was blessed that my primary referred me to Dr. Bhan. She was excellent, thorough & explained treatment options to me. I would give her an A++!

Horrible office. Trying to get records sent to another endocrinologist. First they say they were all sent to another doctor’s office. Then when I checked and they weren’t, They said I never signed release of records, which I know I had. Then they said it would take TEN DAYS for my electronic records to be sent to my new doctor. They must use the Pony Express!

Gives as little information as possible. Nursing Staff is annoyed if you ask questions, because they have to communicate them to the doctor. To much trouble I guess. And good luck getting help w your other health issues. That's you and your pc's problem not theirs. And whatever you do,do not seek another endocrinologist opinion while under this office's care. You will be dropped. So get ready to subscribe to not feeling well, it will be your new normal. The girls that draw blood are fantastic.

I have been seeing Dr. Bhan for 3 years. I have been managing my Type 1 diabetes myself with consultations with doctors as needed for almost 40 years. I do not get any value from Dr. Bhan except the necessary prescriptions. She likes to make adjustments to my pump that I can handle myself, and they usually cause issues that I have to readjust. She may be great if you need someone to manage your diabetes. If you do it yourself, it is a necessary but wasted visit each time.
