Rude doctor
After long wait, saw me for 2 mins, doesn't answer my question, and blamed me for changing a medication that SHE told me to change

Poorly run office
I called Dr. Yao for an appointment. As requested by Dr. Yao's office, I email a copy of my insurance to the office. On the phone and in my email, I asked the office to email to me all required patient forms. After two days, I called the office. Yao's office said that my email was not received. I re-emailed the insurance card to the same email address. Yao confirmed receipt of my email including my insurance card. I asked for the patient forms to be emailed to me. Three more time I called Yao's office requesting all of the patient forms. The forms did not arrive as of the day prior to my appointed. I called and emailed Yao again the day prior to my appointment. The patient forms arrived in my email at 4:30PM; my appointment was at 9AM the following morning. I checked in at Yao's office at 9AM and sat in the narrow lobby. I sat. At 9:35 AM I noticed that patients with 9:30 AM appointments were being called. I asked why I was not called being that I have a 9 AM appointment.

Run away from this doctor! The staff is decent but Dr Yao is a joke. She prescribed an antibiotic without examining me nor doing any blood test. I asked if she could be my Primary Care Physician and she responded ' I don't care'. I've never met a medical professional this rude and incompetent.

Dr. Yao has been my Doctor for over 10 years. I trust her with my health issues and those of my family and friends. I would highly recommend her to anyone and have many times. Her staff is also most excellent in their care and concern. Dr. Yao is truly a Doctor who takes time and honesty cares about her patients. A rare thing in the medical field.

I DO NOT SUGGEST DR.YAO!The follow up service is horrible because they do not call you after exam result. The receptionist is rude and impatient. They always want to make you spend extra money but waste time.

I had an appointment last July and she didn't tell that my colesterol was high and found out today 12/7/16 . I called my pharmacy for a prescription refill and she deny it by saying I need to go back for a check out before authorize prescription. The worse was that when I visited her today she was googling the name of my prescription that she prescribed to me six month ago. Not knowledgeable at all.

The day of my appointment I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room and an additional 30 minutes once I was in the patient room. One hour of waiting only to find out I was perfectly healthy with with a vitamin D deficiency. She will not tell you any results over the phone and require you to come in and pay a copay to know your results of your blood work. Other physicians will either call or you can access an online portal with results. Waste of time and money. Would NOT recommend Dr. Betty Yao.
