Dr. Bette Carlson, MD

We have been seen Dr. Carlson since 2011, and every time it has been a great experience. She is really a great doctor and cares for her patients. She noticed that my daughter was not developing properly cognitively when she was 18 months and referred me to the Regional Center. We have followed all their recommendations until she was 3 years old, and from there on, the school district. Now, she is a freshman in high school and thriving academically. We will always be grateful. In every visit she takes the time to listen and talk to my daughter. She is always through with her examination. The staff is friendly and professional.

Dr. Carlson is and always has been a very thorough pediatrician for both my daughters. She has known and cared for them since birth. My youngest is almost 18. Both daughters feel completely comfortable with Dr. C. As their mom, I know that they are well taken care of and that she will address any of their health concerns. We went in for an annual physical and a sports physical at this most recent appointment.

Dr. Carlson is the 3rd doctor I found for my new born daughter, the first two doctors were real unprofessional that delayed my baby's jaundice problem on the 4th day of birth. But Dr. Carlson pointed out the jaundice right away on my daughter's 3rd week, and keep on track with us for 2 weeks, she talked with us DAY and NIGHT, that's most doctors would not do. She's an amazing and very professional doctor to be recommended!

Well-child visit: Dr. Carlson shows genuine care for my son. She is efficient, but not rushed. She is interested in the whole child, knows my son's history of prior injury, and cares for his overall health.

Dr. Carleson was very aware of my daughters anxiety relating to her shot. Dr. Carleson wasn't pushy and gave my daughter her space and reassured her that everything would be fine and wouldn't hurt. All went smooth and quick!

Dr Carlson has been our pediatrician for over 19 years spanning 3 kids. She is always great with them, knowledgeable and east to talk To. We moved from Costa Mesa to about 30-40 minutes away, but love her so much, we would never switch MD’s! She’s the best!

Made an appt. for my daughter to get a physical. She also had to get a flu shot, (which she truly hates) but Dr. Carlson was so fast with the shot, my daughter didn't have enough time to react! (and believe me, she had her eyes on that needle when the dr. came back in the room!) My daughter said it didn't even hurt. Great job Dr. Carlson!

Dr Carlson is the best. Has been the family pediatrician for over 20 years. Had to come in for Tetanus booster due to a stingray sting. Dr Carlson took the time to come in and examine the injury to make sure there were no other complications.

Dr. Carlson assisted me as a on call doctor. She took time to fully understand what had happened. Explained in details what happened to my baby from medical point of view. Very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. I felt that she gave me a thorough assessment vs. push away Come see us in the morning approach that you sometimes get calling doctors office in the middle of the night.

Dr. Carlson was able to meet with remotely within a half hour of us calling the office. She is an incredibly skilled physician that has treated my children throughout their childhood and into early adulthood. We are very thankful for her and would recommend her to anyone seeking a pediatrician.
