I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Grunschel for her expert and empathetic care, as I had the pleasure of partnering with her for several years to address my mental health. She is a reliable and attentive clinician who consistently leads with curiosity and offers astute insights. Not only is she incredibly gifted in balancing both talk therapy and pharmaceutical modes of treatment, but she is also exquisitely effective in her facilitation of positive outcomes. I admire her professionalism, I trust her with my most vulnerable and personal details, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her during several transitional moments in my life.

Dr. Grunschel is a fantastic psychiatrist and therapist. She is one of the most insightful people I have ever met and also down to earth, compassionate, and practical. She has helped me on many, many occasions to navigate complicated impersonal and emotional situations far more successfully than I could have without her guidance. In sessions, she has a way of understanding the issues I am struggling with with precision (she is a great listener), getting to the heart of the matter quickly and without over-simplifying, and helping me to find better ways forward. She is never judgmental or dogmatic, but she helps me to see when I am deceiving myself and guides me to clearer self-understanding. She is also a terrific psychiatrist and medication provider: she has helped me to find medications and dosages that have really improved my (sometimes debilitating) anxiety and depression. In short: I feel very grateful and fortunate to have found Dr. Grunschel--and you will too.

Dr Grunschel has no respect for the patient’s views or beliefs, misrepresented the patient’s history and frequently laughed inappropriately during sessions. She was also difficult to get in touch with.

I find Dr. Grunschel to be one of the best doctors out there. She goes the extra mile to listen to how your feeling, not just what your saying, because even though you want the help, it is not easy telling a doctor everything, especially in the beginning. And she definitely works to earn your trust and goes at your comfort level. She also answers any questions or concerns you may have about your treatment or condition, so that your treatment is something your comfortable with.

Dr. Grunschel laughed at me in a session because I mentioned I was using a twelve step program in conjunction with seeing her. She was inconsistent in calling out my prescriptions, creating hours of extra effort on my end. I found her to be unprofessional, callous, and out of touch with how delicate patients seeking psychiatric care can be.
