Dr. Bertram Zarins, MD

I had experience with Dr Zarins numerous times through the years. He did great work on my knees and was wonderful to deal with. The office was always pleasant and efficient. I fully recommend!!

Disinterested, delayed responses, unhelpful/seemingly outdated advice

Do not waste your time. This doctor is outdated and is unaware of current practices. He will not help you. He will think you make no sense and send you off. I suggest you see another doctor who is recently educated, so they can understand more of what goes today.

I had a good experience with a prior knee injury with Dr. Zarins in the 90's, but more recently he failed to diagnose or treat my problem. I had severe pain following a fracture and I saw him twice and he told me nothing else could be done - live with it. Eventually I saw a surgeon who quickly diagnosed synovitis, which is common after the fracture I had. It was easily treatable with a couple cortisone shots. I suffered permanent arthritis damage to my hands from using a cane for months.

I sprained my knee (meniscus). I was referred to Dr. Z by my PC who told me that a sports doctor would help me get back to “normal”. Z told me to get gel inserts for my shoes and to listen to my body (the knee is always screaming so I was already doing that). Z said my other options were partial or total knee replacement. Strikes against me: overweight middle aged female wearing non-cushy shoes and not team member of a pro sports team. He had no interest in me or helping me at all

Didn't listen, rushed me out and made no sense. Bad experience all around- waste of time and money. I would not recommend him.
