Passive Aggressive Little Man
Dr Ashlock is always pleasant and kind enough, during appointments. However, he instructs me to re-schedule for follow-ups and then cancels the appointments. The first and second time this happened, I gave him the benefit of doubt. But, it’s happened 4 times, now. The only conclusion I can come to is that he is judging me for having compounded my lung disease with my former lifestyle. This Dr is a privileged, mean little guy who’s evidently never known trauma or strife (precious). A little bit of compassion and humility would serve him well.

Absolutely the BEST Pulmonary doctor
Simply the best pulmonary doctor on the Central Coast. Super easy to talk to, gives excellent advice and is very thorough in his exams and testing. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Ashlock and feel that he gives me excellent care. I have damaged lungs from Army service and other damage, and he has been extremely helpful from the start.

I went in for an acute lung injury and the doctor did not do a physical exam. He seemed to not believe my acute injury complaint but rather pushed me to get a sleep study totally unrelated to any of my complaints. AND he billed my insurance company for a diagnosis of sleep apnea which I had no symptoms of. This doctor needs to listen to his patients complaints better and learn to diagnosis correctly. Maybe return to medical school for more training in bedside manners and how to diagnosis.

I'm a fairly new patient of Dr. Ashlock's. Not only was he extremely thorough overviewing my case history, but at my 1st appt. he was able to direct his questions to exactly the issues as if he'd been my Dr. from the beginning. I've now been with him close to a year and I'm more convinced than ever he was the perfect choice as my health issues present a certain amount of complexity. Additionally, his office staff are always polite and very diligent in their follow up with me.
