I would not recommend Dr. Verdine
I was scheduled for surgery that used anesthesia managed with an overnight stay at the hospital. Dr. Verdine’s staff told me that this stay would not be covered by my Medicare and my other insurance would not cover it because of the lack of Medicare coverage. This was false. When I found that my other insurance would cover the stay, I immediately notified Mercy Hospital, but my surgery had already been canceled with no notice to me. The situation worsened. I was told to speak with Dr. Verdine's office manager, but before I could explain, she yelled I was 'disruptive' and took 'too much of their time' so I was 'fired' as a patient permanently. This behavior was not only unprofessional but unnecessary, as I had been respectful throughout the process. Dr. Verdine and his office manager then made entries into my medical record that I found deeply troubling and unjustified. In my opinion, frustration over insurance led Dr. Verdine and staff to blame me rather than address their missteps.

did my hand surgery during covid (May 2020) in the office. Then marked it as an office visit. insurance could never verify that I had surgery, therefore would not approve more physical therapy.I tried to ask about why it was like this or if it was even being ran thru insurance since it was 5,000 before insurance. I was called later that day accused of being rude. This woman was yelling at me on the phone that my surgery was not 5,000 and to not ask the receptionist any financial info. She kept yelling so i hung up.That day in the app it said she went over financials with me on the phone(didnt happen). I filed a complaint thru Mercy.Fast foward i go back to the notes from phone visit and it was now changed to that I should be fired as a patient and that this was the 2nd time that I "almost made an employee cry."(I do not remember there being a first time) And that i hung up before being educated on insurance. I dont recalled ever being rude to receptionist other than asking few questions.

I had a simple breast mastectomy, that was a great job by Dr. Patricia Limpert. Then was sent to Dr. Verdine for reconstructive surgery. Seriously I lost count of how many surgeries I’ve had by him, I think three or four & still don’t have a breast implant there. Each surgery he did looked worse than the last one. The inflation bag to stretch it was all the way up to my collar bone so they were very uneven. My last surgery on July 31 when he took the implant back out cuz it got an infection, has left what is like a sink hole & there are flaps of skin & puckers & wrinkles, it is straight out of Frankenstein. He said my kin was stretched so thin you would be able to see the implant thru it & took it out. He has evasive answers & contradicts himself & downright lied in my medical records . Last time I saw Jim for follow up, he told me to MASSAGE it everyday that might help loosen it up. I’m in shock & he will not do another surgery on me! I’m scared to have him do anymore.

Dr. Verdine and his staff have been amazing through what has been a very scary process. His personality was a perfect fit for mine and his humor more than helped on the rough days. He's extremely knowledgeable and does amazing work. I had a total reconstruction and faced complications that were out of anyone's control. While my process is not over I am completely confident in Dr. Verdine and his staff.

I was referred to Dr. Verdine for a breast reduction for medically necessary reasons. He was very professional and very nice. He genuinely cares about his patients. You're not just another person. He takes time to get to know you. Needless to say I could not be happier with the care I have received. He even took my call on personal time at home when I had a reaction to my medications. Wonderful man. He treated my family with the same respect he gave me and that means a lot to me.

I WOULD NOT recommend this doctor to anyone!!!! The staff is very rude even to my insurance providers! The completely messed up my insurance then refused to give me my surgery spot back. Then, bc they could not admit they were wrong and didn't like all the trouble with my insurance, they refused to do surgery at all for me.

I made an appointment with Dr. Verdine after discovering a basal cell carcinoma on the top of both ears. Office and staff friendly and efficient. The surgery was basically explained about removing the cancer, and the surgery was painless and procedure was prompt. The results are far less than satisfactory with gross deformity of the ear, which is why I went to a plastic surgeon to begin with. I'm in the medical field, and I would describe it as a wide radical excision, uncalled for.
