Exceptional Care and Skill
Dr. Kulow became my colorectal surgeon after a trip to the ER discovered a mass in my colon attached to my appendix. Being a high risk patient with many allergies and reactive asthma, Dr. Kulow and his team, including the entire St. Luke's North Hospital staff listened, took my allergies and reactivities seriously and we developed a specific plan for treatment with pharmacy, my pulmonologist and anesthesia for my right hemicolectomy to remove colon cancer. His personality and friendliness is reassuring and made me feel comfortable from the first time I met him in the ER. It is obvious he cares about the people he treats and wants the best outcomes for them. This was a 180 from the previous healthcare system I had been in for years that dismissed my allergies and reactivities as a woman with anxiety. Dr. Kulow saved my life and months, possibly years of chemotherapy and adjuvent therapy by performing the surgery skillfully on a difficult body. I highly, highly, recommend him.
