Poor bedside manner. I Was in emergency room, had arrived by ambulance. When he spoke to me I asked him to speak up as I didn’t have my hearing aids in. His response was “why not?” And made no effort to speak louder . Was rude, curt, and lacked compassion.

Crabby.
Grumpy and curt bedside manner. Unpleasant visit to the ER was made worse by his intimidating attitude. My clinic dr didn't like what she saw at my clinic appointment, so she immediately sent me to the ER. Apparently, Dr. Kooiker didn't believe I needed to be there and treated me as such.
