Dr. Harkess removed a syst from my food. I found him to be an excellent Doctor. Explained everything to me. Surgery went well. He is professional and is caring. I had a very good experience. Thank you Dr. Harkess.

I have a condition called Hallux Rigidus. It affects the big toes and is very painful! I’ve seen Dr. Harkess for 5 years. He injected shots in my big toes every 6 months and I was good for another 6months! After 5 years, he repeated X-rays and my toes are bone on bone. I had surgery in July and the cartilage was gone and my toe had a lot of arthritis as well. It was not a fun time recovering, but I couldn’t ask for a more compassionate and caring doctor! I will have the big toe on the other foot done in the future.

Dr. Harkess saved my foot.
I had the good fortune of being referred to Dr. Harkess by my nephrologist due to a troublesome ulcer on my right foot. As a type 2 diabetic, the fear of losing my foot was overwhelming. We explored various wound care techniques, hoping for a miracle, but unfortunately, the persistent ulcer refused to heal. However, I must say that Dr. Harkess performed a floating osteotomy that can only be described as truly remarkable. The ulcer has completely healed, bringing me immense relief. The fear of losing my foot has vanished, and I am now filled with a renewed sense of hope. I cannot recommend Dr. Harkess enough to anyone facing foot-related issues. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

Dr. Harkess is the BEST!!!
If you are looking for a podiatrist, Dr. Harkess is the one. He is very knowledgeable and professional, provides excellent care, as well as showing so much compassion and concern for the best interest of his patients. Dr. Harkess did an ingrown toenail procedure on both of my big toes and 6 months later he would become my husband's doctor treating a very bad infection that was deteriorating the bone in his big toe. This man went above and beyond to treat and try to save his big toe. After several months of monitoring and treatment it did result in amputation, but Dr. Harkess did all he could to save it until it presented a further risk to my husband's health. We believe in Dr. Harkess and have 100% faith in him and if we have any future health needs involving our feet, Dr. Harkess will be the only one we see!!

Best Podiatrist!
Dr Harkess is such a blessing for my family and has guided my diabetic husband thru some tough decisions and surgeries. He has also helped me with foot issues and we don’t know what we would do without having such a kind, knowledgeable and professional good doctor to go to!

great
I can tell Dr Harkess is good at what he does. He spends time with me, seems to genuinely care, and isn’t quick to suggest surgery without first trying other options. I have recommended him to many friends and family members

Dr. Benjamin Harkess
Dr. Harkess had a x-ray from 2019 and said I needed surgery on my foot. He did not ask for New x-rays to be done to see if there was any other issues that might be affecting my foot. He immediately said I needed surgery. When I told him I really didn’t want surgery because I worked on my feet and what else could he do? He replied nothing. He spent an entire 10 minutes with me.

Caring doc
Dr. Harkess took me on and fixed a previous providers mistakes. My experience with podiatry was very poor until I met Dr. Harkess. He’s operated on both of my feet. The results are excellent. Would highly recommend him for anyone having foot problems

Fixed my problem
I ended up in the Mercy ER with a severe foot infection where I met Dr. Harkess, he developed a treatment plan, answered all my questions which put my anxiety at ease. Due to bone infection seen on MRI I underwent a 5th metatarsal head resection and required a few weeks of antibiotic therapy. Within 3 weeks my ulceration healed and has stayed healed. The after care I received and communication with his office have been quite good. I would recommend him to anyone having foot issues.

Dr. Harkess is top-notch! He has helped me with Achilles tendinitis, ingrown toenails, and plantar fasciitis. He is genuinely caring and compassionate and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him to all of my soccer player/athlete friends. Staff is also very nice and efficient.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! If I could give a zero I would. He was very cocky on the first visit. During my simple bunionectomy he cut through the tendon that attaches to my big toe. His repair DID NOT work. I had to have another surgery at my expense to repair his lovely chop job. I did not work for a year and have hospital bill clectors calling me like crazy! UGH he ruined my foot forever. I am only able to wear flip flops all year round. Horrible surgeon!!!

Dr Benjamin Harkess is a friendly excellent doctor who carefully explains what your problem is and how he will fix it. I was delighted when the person checking me in to the hospital told me Dr Harkess is a great doctor. I am amazed he was able to remove a giant cyst from my foot without me having any pain. He was extremely careful about my after surgery recovery and again no pain. I am very thankful to have received his top notch surgical skills and doctor treatment.
