I have nothing to say but positive things about Dr. Ben Yan. Eight years ago I was diagnosed for breast cancer. He walked me through everything...even visited me in the hospital (breast removal). I was sorry to hear that he left our area. I couldn't have had a better doctor for my cancer. Thank you Dr. Yan...you are the best!

In coordination with my breast surgeon, Dr. Yan provided a straightforward, comprehensive plan of treatment. I had a very rare form of breast cancer. Dr. Yan was honest with me about the regiment; answered all my questions and was available any time I needed to speak to him. I truly believe that Dr. Yan saved my life.

My 1st meeting with Dr. Yan was fine but sadly it changed. Beginning of February 2019 my cancer had come back.my insurance was cancelled after all my treatment almost 6 years earlier..So let me go back a little over 5 years, I had breastcancer, breast totally removed, 6 month of Chemo you said my response to chemo was fantastic I had no sideeffects than radiation pure hell.5 years I was good and than it came back but with lots of fluid around my lungs , ended up in the hospital and that way back in Dr Yans care. He was not happy that I didn't have insurance but said he could give me some pills what didn't help in anyway and I was told the other meds he couldnt give me well I know there are funds to be used for that. The hammer was harch he told me to go home and enjoy the couple month I had to live. Very nice thank you. I went back to europe where I got a fantastic oncologist did 6 month of chemo and well here I am 18 month later doing fantastic enjoying life .NO meds at all.

During chemo I felt comfortable but after when I went back and brain working I felt like I was not being told honest answers. I asked about a hormone level test and said No...why you are old (I was 68)...then when he basically called me liar about blood work and said I probably have cancer else where (explaining iron deficiency). Changed oncologist

Spent 5 minutes with me. Would not consider putting me a less expensive anti-coagulant for DVT. Insisted on Eiquis, IT'S $500 A MONTH AND HE SAID I NEED TO BE ON IT THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Only concerned about your ability to pay. Does not instill confidence in me. Gave me conflicting prognosis in same session. First said I would only need to be on medication for less than a year then said the rest of my life. Was not even sure what might have caused the blood clot.

Dr. Yan answered all of my questions in detail. I found his command of the situation concerning my mothers previous neurosurgery and future proceedings concerning her lung cancer most informing and reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Ben Yan.

Dr. Yan recommended an expensive treatment for my father one week before he died and did not ever give us a final diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Treatment was uncoordinated. I was disappointed in our experience with Dr. Yan and felt that my father deserved better.
