Dr. Ben Shwachman, MD

Took 3 weeks for them to contact me to schedule my initial appointment. Finally scheduled it for 2 months later went to the appointment and the Dr was out of town so had to reschedule AGAIN. Said they couldn’t reach me cause wrong number even though the day I made the appointment the receptionist and I were calling back and fourth. Got to the next appointment he was running an hour behind due to chit chatting ( I heard him in the next room). Didn’t even listen to me or really evaluate me and just scheduled an epidural. I had to ask for an MRI since we didn’t know why I was in pain. Went to receptionist and scheduled a follow up 3 months later. Called them back to schedule my mri cause they needed to get approval. Heard back 2 months later that they didn’t have my insurance card even though I emailed them front and back the day I was there. Then never heard from them again. Called 15 times to cancel my follow up. Never got ahold of anyone left VMs but then received a missed visit bill.

Be ready for a 30 min hold time before even telling the office what you need.

They NEVER answer the phone. Whenever I need to schedule an appointment for my mom it takes forever for them to pick up the phone. Sometimes I am forced to go in person instead. The doctor is great though.

I found him to be knowledgable and experienced in the pain medicine/treatment area and his prescribed treatment has been without further problems for about 2 years.

Staff is so nice,office is always clean.Dr. is amazing he listens and helps with whatever he can.Yes I have sent relatives and friends to see him.

He was obviously mad an raised his voice @me bcause i didnt get spinal injection. (told him i wanted 2try natural relief.....he actually got mad that i brought up vitamins. My last appt he mocked &demeaned me 4 asking 4 A MRI he proudly justifide his childish bhaviour. If i complied with every quack suggestion he gave me id b heading 2A early grave confined2 a bed with a morphine pump. I have a bone diease the jointed bone ares in my body R dying &pieces of bone r crumbling away Im 29 years old

If your trying 2improve your condition this is NOT your guy he wil go with option that gives him more money. I turned down a procedure he offered (I wasnt happy bout side effects) he was mad, last visit. He mocked me an demeaned me 4 requesting MRI he asked y I said my pain is much worse &I want 2C whats going on he was very unprofessional bout the whole matter he condescendingly requested my MRI in a form he knew my insurance would deny approval. Hes not a good dr or a good person!

Very professional very clean facility nice receptionist just one complaint always get an operater or busy signal when i call its kind of annoying other than that I'm very happy with this doctor and staff
