Highly Unprofessional!
I waited 5 weeks to have an appointment with Dr. Stanley, just to be told that with my chronic illness I “have no hope no matter where I go or who I see.” I am quite frustrated, as I have researched my condition thoroughly and there are numerous medication and treatment options, which I suggested and she refused to recommend any of the 10 options I provided. I felt this was highly unprofessional and the appointment ended quite rudely with her exiting the room (while I was DIRECTLY behind her) only to shout to her medical assistant “am I done for the day yet?!”

My daughter has being waiting 2. Days for this Dr Stanley to call in a script. It’s not the first time this had happened to her. Why please why is this Doctor still practicing. She sounds awful and treats people like Trash. Never in my 73 years have I seen a doctor so bad and disrespectful to her patients. I thank god every day for my doctor. She is a saint.

She doesn’t listen to patients.
I had an appointment with her last week. She came in and immediately starting asking me why I didn’t complete bloodwork - which I did. She didn’t read my chart and wouldn’t listen to me when I showed her my bloodwork results from a few months ago. She stated “I am the doctor - you are the patient - you will do what I tell you to do!”. I then asked for the APRN and told her I never wanted to see her again. She treats patients like inmates -no courtesy and doesn’tlisten.

5 STAR REVIEW
I was TOTALLY IMPRESSED how well everything went with my appointment - nervous going for my first visit after reading what some had to say. But I must say I found the staff to be great, very pleasant girls and Dr. Stanley made me feel VERY confident in the care I will be receiving with her. The office itself and the exam room I was in , were well lit and super clean.

1. Thought if was strange a dog was running around the office and I am a dog lover but a Drs office? Then after waiting an hour watching the dr came in for my 1st visit. She assumed she knew why I was there but was wrong. She seemed hurried, asked questions but when I or my husband tried answering she would interrupt, ask something else, try to diagnose or say I needed tests I’ve had in the past that I didn’t need, she was addressing concerns I wasn’t there to address (old neurological issues) but wouldn’t let me explain. Too busy interrupting and talking over us. She halfway skimmed over records and missed a lot and assumed a lot. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Drs office. I was so frustrated that she wouldn’t listen I had tears in my eyes and got to the point I couldn’t complete a thought. I never got the opportunity to tell her why I had come to her office in the first place. I will be finding a dr out of town who accepts my insurance.

The scheduling and office staff are terrible. She may be a good Doctor, but I really don't have any way to know. Of my appointments with her so far: 1. They cancelled and rescheduled the day before the appointment. 2. Scheduled for the wrong day, Dr. Stanley wasn't there that day. 3. Waited over an hour to see her. 4. They cancelled and rescheduled the morning of the appointment. 5. Came in, but she was double booked due to a scheduling error and saw the other patient, not me. 6. Waited approximately 45 minutes to see her. 7. Called daily for over 2 weeks to try and schedule a phone appointment to follow up on some issues. When it was scheduled, she finally called me almost 2 hours after the appointment time, and after I had called her office 3 times to confirm it. 8. Today, I waited over an hour to see her, then had to leave and go to a different appointment without actually seeing Dr. Stanley. Today was really the last straw. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Rushed appointment! Took two weeks to complete documentation! Did not submit referral needed for two weeks. Sent referral to someone who doesn’t accept my insurance and mailed me a prescription for blood work with no explanation. I’m 6 weeks in now with something on my brain and I still have no answer or insurance authorization for the next test I need. No one answers the phone and I’ve had to go into the office to demand records be sent.

Was unprepared for my appointment because she didn’t have the hospital records. She quickly raddled off information as she scribbled on a piece of paper stating that I would get a print out of all the information. The prescription she told me to start was never called in. And after 12 days, no print out of her notes is available therefore impossible to follow her recommendations. Complete waste of time!!!

Dr. Stanley never went to see me in hospital, yet billed for talking to nurse who I think mixed me up with another patient. They never found out what problem was and I had to return to hospital within a week. They did EEG, but she never bothered to tell us results and locked results so my primary doctor could not see them. She does not return calls.

Sitting here for three hours now with my husband today, 7/30/20 waiting for a phone call for his neuropsychology results. Receptionist lost bloodwork though done at the office. Husband a nervous wreck, but we also deserve respect for our time- his time as a patient. Very disrespectful and horrible care—-customer service wise. Yes you are an MD, yes you should take time with your patients, but do not overbook to the point where you neglect your patients and their right to good and timely, appropriate care. We are still waiting. Going into 4th hour after scheduled 10:30 am appt- confirmed!!! In addition social worker wrote down a non existent diagnosis and gave the slip of paper to my husband. She is and was way out of her lane. You don’t write down “ pseudo dementia” and let a patient leave your office thinking he has dementia-Even if you did explain it to him you were not qualified to explain the idiosyncrasies of the phenomenon without consultation with your supervising MD.

I have been going to Brilliant, Dr. Stanley for 10 years. She is so knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She can diagnosis and treat with so much wisdom and compassion, we are lucky to have such an amazing Doctor in this area. She takes whatever time you need, to get to the root of your problem. I now have my husband going to her and he is also impressed by the depth of her knowledge. She is an EASY TEN STARS!

Don't like her beside manner; recommended Shands for a DAT for Parkinson's when we already know she has Parkinson's and was confirmed by another Neuro that DAT is for diagnosing. Kept harping on why my mom had left her for another doctor (took her back to Stanley because the other doc was incompetent). Feel that she sent her for testing because I was with her. She had not suggested this the previous 2 times.

This woman misdiagnosed me at 18 with a brain aneurism, which with my health would have been fatal. In reality, it was a smudge on the machine that scanned my brain, and it didn't even look like an aneurism to the other doctor at Shand's that I went to. Now, she has misdiagnosed my friend with a stroke, treated her so poorly in the hospital, and didn't want to do any testing because "its a stroke" when she has a brain infection instead. This woman should lose her license.
