Dr. Beena Kumar, MD

We began seeing Dr. Kumar when my daughters were still in grade school. That was 20+ years ago and both my daughters have grown up and moved out of state. Dr. Kumar was knowledgeable, thorough and also very personable with all of us. As a senior citizen I continue to see Dr. Kumar and am extremely pleased, and enthusiastically recommend her!

Went for my second annual check-up. Spent 5 minutes with me. I asked her to include a B12 test because I had been low several years ago. She agreed but when I went to the lab, she had forgotten to add this to the list. The lab tech said she would run the test upon approval. I called next day and Dr Kumasi is gone tor a week. I had to make three calls to have them run this test.

I was a patient of hers back when I turned of age. I believe my first appointment was a straightforward physical, so nothing special. The ones that followed were just awful. The reviews mentioning how curt and non-caring she is are true. When I came to her to tell her that I might have some kind of mental illness, her attitude/demeanor felt like she was fed up with dealing with people from the suburbs. I dont trust her in being a caring doctor. Skip her. Shes not comfortable to work with.

3 experiences with her. 1st was at 8am cause I had to be at work by 9. She got there at 840. walked in said a dry sorry and proceeded to do the minimal w/o eye contact. I gave her another chance. 2 visit I felt a lump on breast, she barely looked at it no other tests ordered but ultrasound which she wrote incorrectly so they couldn't schedule & were not shocked it was her. 3rd she was hr late, I heard her in the lobby I complained to the nurse, then came in and barely apologized. Barely spoke or looked me in the eye. Did not take time or acknowledge on a personal level as expected. Spent about 5 minutes with patient. Patient did not feel cared about or that needs were addressed.
