Dr. Basil Yost III, MD

Dr Yost was the first doctor I contacted when I first moved to Hendersonville nc at the end of 2005. He has been pleasant, knowledgeable, and has of been of great help for me over the years. Now that he is retiring I feel a personal loss. He is the "only" doctor who has called at the end of his work day with information that he felt that should know. The "only" one! 'll be 83 soon and hope that his successor is as dedicated. To Dr. Yost , thank you.

I was taken to Pardee Hospital for chest pains and Dr. Yost was the cardiologist on duty. He told me I needed to take a bunch of meds, and I told him I'd tried many but experienced side effects. He said he was going to prescribe them and I can "take them or not," and then he walked out of the room. I took the meds, and the next thing I know, he was back with nurses and a Blue cart trying to keep me from going into cardiac arrest. In my opinion, Dr. Yost should retire before he kills someone.
