Dr. Hassoun removed my mom's cancerous kidney, performed prostate surgery on my brother and we have considered him our family urologist for several years now. I would recommend him to anyone.

There are better Urologists
Never the same after receiving prostate reduction and stent. He is more interested in impressing his trainees than being competent.

Do use this doctor
If you want a doctor's office that does not report test results in a timely manner, this is doctor's office for you. I will never set foot in that office again. Family decision related to fertility are carefully made choices. When a doctor does not complete and report these results to the patient in the time they say they will and do not bother call and even say there was delay is not acceptable. This seems to be a common theme with this doctor. I wish I would have read reviews prior to becoming a patient. Don’t make the same mistake.

The Doctor didn't explain the procedure very well or why it was taking so long to recover. He just ended the visit and walked out. He seemed rushed and did not want to spend time with me. The Doctor did not listen or answer my questions.

Decent Doctor, Terrible staff
After 7 days of waiting for a test result; we still do not have an answer or even a call back from the doctor's nurse or the office manager. We have been told for 4 days now by the nice lady that answers the phone that someone would call us back and not once have we ever received a callback. We have even called the after-hours line to see if we can get Dr. Hassoun to push his staff to do their jobs; thinking perhaps he is unaware that his staff has fallen short yet again (which has happened regularly over the last year). We never even received a call back from the after-hours doctor! The fact of the matter is that they see too many people to give quality care that you and your insurance pay for. In the real world, there are typically repercussions in not performing a quality job; not here they just hid from voicemails, stay in clinic, and work effortless 9-5 gig. The business model here is to swipe the next person's card, bill their insurance, rinse and repeat. Tina the office manager

Extremely abusive staff
I really liked Dr. Hassoun but his front desk staff is worse than rude. I watched the clerk who checks in patients treat patients (including some elderly patients) in a very mean, abusive way. When I checked out, she treated me the same way. The office manager, Linda (who I spoke with about my concerns), did not seem to care at all. I sent two letters to the doctor but never received the courtesy of any acknowledgement. No matter how great the doctor is, I will not be verbally and emotionally abused by the staff.

Office very disorganized. Was billed for procedures that were not done. Billed in 2019 for procedure supposedly done in 2017. Billed me for Alcohol and Drug screening. Why this would have been done at all is a mystery and I never authorized it for any reason. Called billing company and doctors office no reply to questions posed to them.

This Doctor was really nice when we first meet him and the day of surgery! But after my wife had her surgery the doctor turned in to the devil and his office people turned into smart mouths little Devil workers. My wife was suppose to stay 5 days in the hospital after her surgery but this doctor kicked her out of the hospital day 3 without even Bing on a solid food diet or able to walk to the bathroom with 105.5 temperature only because he will not come in on the weekends to work! Beware

Dr. Hassoun is fantastic. He has helped me with my temperamental bladder and I couldn't be happier with the results. He goes out of his way make sure that his patients are happy. His waiting room is always packed, which to me is a good thing because who would wait to see a doctor they didn't like? Very trustworthy man and a intelligent doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hassoun for 5 years. Sometimes the wait is longer than I would like but it is 100% worth it. He knows what he's talking about and often goes out of his way to help me. He has definitely gone above and beyond to help me with my problems. He is one of the only surgeons that I know that when he can avoids surgery even though it may not be as profitable for him. Dr. Hassoun really cares about his patients and is willing to talk about any problem I have.

Dr. Basel Hassoun, in my opinion, is the best Urologist within the OKC area. I have been going to him for the past 3 years. This is saying a lot for me because I have not lasted more than a year with any other doctor. I have seen multiple Urologists (before finding Dr. Hassoun) and every single doctor suggested surgery for my bladder problems. Dr. Hassoun was the only doctor that suggested a different approach and that to me suggests multiple skills and intelligence. Best doctor I've ever had.

Dr. Hassoun is popular because of his great skill, if you are prepared to wait sometimes you will receive, in my opinion, some of the best care in this area. He has been treating me for 12 years for infection problems related to a spinal cord injury and his care, persistence and skill has literally kept me alive when I probably shouldn't have made it. If you need someone with the skills and compassion to treat serious urological problems, he's your man, in my opinion!

Had an appointment for 9:15am. Arrived at his office at 9:10am. Office was standing room only. Waited more than 30 minutes and more people continued to arrive in now a very crowded waiting room. I asked a staff member when I would be seen by the Dr. and was told that I was next. Waited another 15 minutes and finally left. I counted 16 people in the waiting room when I left (two were standing). This is not the first time this has happened with this Dr. He overschedules. No respect for my time.
