Dr. Barry Loughner, DDS

I was involved in an auto accident and referred to Dr. Barry Loughner. Based on his recommendation I needed to wear mouth guards which I paid, $3000 for an upper and lower jaw mouth guards. After using the expensive mouth guards for a year, the upper jaw's mouth guard broke in half. I made appointment to go see him and perhaps to fix/repair the mouth guards. He was going to charge me another $300-$500 more to repair the broken upper jaw's mouth guard which I questioned the new charges; at this point he walked out of the office and his nurse Laura Overfield touched and pushed me out of the office just because I questioned the new charges. When I pay $3800 for office visit plus mouth guard, at least I expect some kind of warranty and service. He is rude and the only thing he and his nurse care about is to rip off patients. To me if you provide customer service $$ will follow. I will never go back to this office and will not recommend Dr. Barry Loughner or his nurse Laura Overfield.

I have been going to Dr Loughner for my TMD for over ten years. I first saw him when I was in high school back in 2010 which is when he first diagnosed me with a TMD. I remember thinking he was intimidating at the time (I was maybe 18). Fast forward 10+ years and the man I saw was not intimidating at all. Dr Loughner is still meticulous, as others have mentioned. He’s incredibly knowledgeable in his specialty and he takes the time to listen and answer questions. I feel he has great bedside manner and he’s quite funny. He’s not just looking to collect a copay, he actually cares and is very reasonable.

Dr. Loughner is wonderful. He's truly knowledgeable, got me diagnosed the first time I saw him. I've been seeing him since August of 2004. I have trigeminal Neuralgia. He has me out of pain, as long as I take my medication on time. I highly recommend him. The most important thing about a Doctor is that they know their stuff. He does. Great Doctor!

I couldn't recommend Dr. Loughner enough. He knows his medicine; efficient, meticulous and accomplished. Dr. Loughner took the time to explain my condition in detail. I walked away with so much knowledge and reassurance that I'm in good hands. Thank you for your time! Jessica Y

Please be aware when visiting Dr. Loughner. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced with any other doctor. He is knowledgeable in his craft, however, he doesn't know how to treat his staff with respect and has burst of anger that will make you feel very uneasy and even intimidated to ask a question. He walks in spends what he considers enough time, and leave without asking if you have any questions or even saying goodbye. He is rude, get angered easily and will never visit again.

Do does not speak to patient, gruff and unfriendly. Lady at reception desk rude and uncooperative with insurance matters. Humiliating experience, I left feeling helpless.

Stern, unyielding, does not like questions. No bedside manner. Office insurance people do not cooperate. Very difficult people.
