He was absolutely the WORST “physician “ I have ever met. I myself, am a doctor and went to the ER for severe lower back pain and he completely “dismissed “ me. He said he could give me something for pain ( narcotic”. I flat refused. I just wanted to treat the cause of my pain, which he seemed to not even care or want to find out. He is TERRIBLE!!!!!

Arrogant and no bedside manner.
He was hateful and questioned why I was here wanting an echo and bloodwork due to extreme fatigue, weakness, short of breath, headaches. I am a cardiac patient. I couldn’t get into my cardiologist for a month. I wanted to make sure my heart function hadn’t gone down since it had in the past and then I had a coronary artery dissection. He acted like I was stupid! He acted like I shouldn’t have came to the ER. He told me they couldn’t do an echo in the ER. This was after 3 hours of waiting in a room. They took tubes of blood, but nothing was ordered until he came in 3 hours later. He is a poor excuse for a doctor and should retire, or better yet be fired! I’d give him 0 stars if that was an option. I grabbed his badge and ask his name. I raised my voice and was ready to walk out. I’m very disappointed in this visit. We drove 45 minutes to come to Deaconess Newburgh, because I don’t like our one hospital in our town. Never again! Still waiting on bloodwork.

Horrible bedside manner
I was recently treated by Dr Guest in a local ER due to having Covid. It took him over 2 hours to even come to my room and his initial statement was “so you have Covid and waiting 8 days for treatment? What do you want me to do?” I explained I had a tell health appointment and was told to come to the ER for shortness of breath. He told me my O2 SAT’s were fine and I just needed to “quit huffing and puffing” and there were “real sick people that could be using the ER room rather than me taking up their time. I was finally discharged with a steroid and antibiotic to clear up possible inflammation of the lining of my lungs and he did suggest they could look for a possible blood clot due to the Covid but I declined after being treated so rudely not only from Dr Guest but all of the staff at the ER with multiple comments of me being in there while having Covid. I told my husband to take me home and I would just take my chances. I have never been treated so rude while needing care.

He had the worse bedside manner I’ve ever witnessed. My husband was very sick and my husband never complains but after a couple of days of vomiting, diarrhea, and on the third day he had severe abdominal pains with bloody stools and then they became almost black. This doctor did a rectal exam then in a very sarcastic way, he held up his finger and said looks brown to me and wanted to send my husband home without finding out why he was so sick. I demanded another physician then, I filed a complaint with Deaconess and our insurance provider who also filed a complaint on his behalf. My husband finally got a good doctor and a diagnosis. He had campylobacter and this jerk was so hateful, sarcastic, and rude my husband just wanted to go home. After I demanded another doctor and told him to get out, he tried talking to us again. I was done with him. He needs to get in another line of business, away from people.
