First visit went very well
Today , I took my wife for her first visit with Dr. Bikshorn and based on the number of very negative reviews that we had seen, we had a lot of concerns. However, as it turned out, we were well pleased with the treatment that we received. Dr. Bikshorn took plenty of time to be sure that he understood my wife’s history and concerns. He studied her test results, explained the situation and suggested a start to a treatment plan. We were fully satisfied with all aspects of the visit.

Dr. Bikshorn was great
Not sure what all of these other reviews are about but Dr. Bikshorn was great. My dad has been going through a lot of medical things the past few months so we’ve seen a lot of doctors. Dr. Bikshorn had reviewed the notes and looked at his MRI and other tests before the appointment which a lot of doctors don’t do. Then he asked many questions and took lots of notes. He patiently explained the situation, and ultimately referred us to a couple of his colleagues better suited to help due to my dad’s specific needs. Ultimately, my dad needs a more aggressive physical therapy approach and finally someone was able to help us get him on the right path. He was very nice and reassuring.

I have seen Dr. Bikshorn annually for the last 5 years due to Postherpetic Neuralgia. He has been totally professional, informative, patient and kind. He has helped manage my pain. I don't know why the other people on this site gave lower ratings to him. I am totally satisfied with his services.

Doesn't even deserve a one star. He has an attitude. A little condescending and doesn't listen. I'm not surprised his reviews are poor. Terrible doctor. And that same lousy attitude is present with the staff at the reception desk.

He is unprofessional, impatient, rude and condescending. I had a stroke and meeting with him added insult to injury. For example, he berated me for forgetting that the medicine he had just recommended is not an anti inflammatory. My wife inquired if he had forgotten that I had a stroke and now had memory issues. His response was that he could explain a third time and I would probably forget again. Soon after sending that prescription to CVS, he forgot that he sent it and had to doublecheck. My wife mentioned to him that he had just sent it. Now having read the possible severe side effects, I am not going to take it. And, my pharmacist said I should not take it at the same time with the other med I am currently taking at night. However, he said it was okay. Agree with other posts. Not sure why he is still in practice as there are many other neurologists with better bedside manner, knowledge and credentials.

Dr. Bikshorn throws questions at you like he's interrogating you, then barely lets you answer, and then challenges your answers. He lacks compassion, empathy and the ability to communicate in a kind manner with patients. Perhaps he should be in research not in patient care. He also kept me on my original meds and added a lot more meds, making me pass out. I do not recommend this doctor- find someone who actually cares.

Dont waste your time because he'll waste yours. I saw Dr. Bikshorn for years. He is condescending and doesnt listen at all. After never getting answers and never getting anywhere I left and went to an institute in the area. After doing multiple tests they found that the meds he had me on were likely never working and an MRI found something in my head! Something that he had overlooked since my issues started and are likely the cause of everything. I feel like a whole new person after leaving.

I just saw dr. Bikshorn today and was very pleased with the appointment. He asked tons of questions and did a thorough exam. He spent plenty of time with me and was a great listener. I also had some testing done at the hospital and he called me within a few hours of having the test with the results. I would highly recommend this doctor.

After three visits with this egotistical doctor, this Dr. Bikshorn fails to realize he is there to service me and not his ego. I do not recommend this doctor. After going through many, many bad reviews on various websites, I am surprised this doctor is still practicing.

The doctor is rude & has no bedside manners at all. Fired questions & always interrupted when I tried to answer. Got very irritated when I told him another doctor ordered test for a problem & said very loudly & firmly "there are no tests for that". I am a nurse (I do not tell my doctors that) & I understand more than he thinks. Now I need to see another doctor & I am upset that Medicare will have to pay 2 bills. So sorry I did not look up his rating before making an appointment.
