I am almost a week post-op after receiving FFS surgery from Dr. Amirlak. I cannot say enough positive words about Dr. Amirlak and his entire team; they are simply amazing. The communication, compassion, competence, and overall commitment to making sure I had a great experience and outcome was second to none. I felt appreciated, respected, and well informed every step of the way. On surgery day, Dr. Amirlak's easy confidence set me at ease. I still have some healing to do, as it has been less than a week, but I am already so excited with the outcome.

Insensitive and biased.
I contacted this office after seeing promising work with treating scars on their site. Based on the types of procedures the facility does I also assumed it would be a doctor sensitive to many different backgrounds. I was immediately told that although they do extensive treatment for scars, the doctor will absolutely not help with self harm scars, regardless of the age. The office was aware that the scars I was inquiring about were 15 to 20 years old, I could fully understand an office having qualms on working with a current problem. It’s embarrassing enough to call trying to find a solution, but there is clearly a bias here and it is not a safe space. If you are in a similarly delicate situation, and hoping to finally have a resolution after decades of waiting, don’t waste your breath here. You will probably also hang up in tears.

Has a heart of gold! Very well trained, combined with an exceptional bedside manner! He is constantly looking to improve his practice by taking into account new studies and literature, but has the discernment to understand good/bad studies that are worth pursuing.

consultation took a long time and the price of the actual procedure was way higher than other plastic surgeons in the general area. charged $100 for a "consultation fee" which was essentially him sitting down with me for 5 minutes and looking at my nose.

My teenage son underwent FTM top surgery last month by Dr. Amirlak. We are greatly pleased with his fine work, professionalism, & compassion as we embarked on this difficult journey. Dr. Amirlak's kindness & gentle manner helped us put aside our fears and concerns about having this major surgery. His staff, specifically Brittany Hudson, worked diligently with my insurance to help us afford the procedure and get coverage. My son is now almost 4 weeks out and healing beautifully. I highly recommend his services.

If I could give no stars I would. If you’re looking for a top surgeon, DO NOT go here. I had a terrible experience with him and wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. I went to the appointment with my parents and he didn’t even seem interested in getting to know me. When I was putting my robe on he sent my parents out which is normal, however, he nor his staff ever called them back in. I finished the appointment by myself and my parents were left out, even when telling him at the beginning that I wanted them there. Also, if you are a heavy set person DO NOT come here. I weigh 270 and he refused to operate on me unless I lost weight. Willing to lose weight, I asked him how much and he said at least 100 pounds. Then he pointed out my non existent chest acne and complained about it. The whole experience left me feeling like I wasn’t good enough and I felt like he genuinely didn’t like me. My parents were disgusted with his attitude and so am I.

The man with a plan and the hands to carry it out! Dr. Amirlak did my rhinoplasty last month, and the results led to an increased self-esteem, confidence, and security about my facial appearance. He was spot-on in predicting the way it would turn out, even before the surgery! I trusted him every step of the way and he had excellent bedside manner.

I appreciate him keeping it short and simple. He did not beat around the bush. It took me a while to warm up to him because he does not come off as super friendly. He presents his self in an as a matter of fact type way. It can come off as abrasive, as if he's a bit uninterested. However, after seeing him several times, for approximately 7 weeks in a row, I came to see that it's his personality and he means absolutely no harm.
