1 tracked mind
Suffers from 1 track mind Dr. Barbara J. De Lateur, MD does not want to work with her patients. I felt unheard. She would talk over me when talking. She seems to be stuck on thing and not willing to be look and assist with my overall care and supports that I need. Dr De Lateur claims that she and all physicians at Hopkins take an overall approach to care and treatment. Well, for her that is not the case. She zoomed into one part of health and did not offer any other suggestions that are related to her field. She focused in on a different expertise field that she is not technically qualified to treat. She is vague and speaks to her patients as they are stupid. You ask for help or suggestions about the treatment plan that she is stating and will berate you. Then when you ask about treatment ideas in her speciality she just goes back to the one she is not specialized in. It was a waste of my time and money to see her. She was no help with my medical condition that I am trying to cope

Saw her for lower lumbar/hip pain. She told me my extra 15 pounds was the problem, & I should eat more avocados. Had to beg for an X-ray, she reluctantly concurred. She never contacted me with results. I got the results myself tho & both hips had severe osteoarthritis which eventually led to my bilateral hip replacements. This lady should have retired years ago. Eating avocados is a very different thing than needing both my hips replaced.
