Great Listener and Thorough
Dr. Shanes had been my PCP for years. I truly miss having him as a provider. The review reallydon’t give him as much as credit for how great he truly is. He is incredibly thorough with even the most minor symptoms. He is the one who helped me into cardiology to treat my tachycardia, after many years of being dismissed my other providers for “anxiety”. He also, helped me diagnose my hyperemsis when I first got pregnant, after my OB said this was “normal”. He was always quick to fix referrals with insurance issues and very patient, even during the times I was not the most cooperative patient. For someone who is always busy treating others, he always found time to be prompt and cater to mymedical needs. He truly listens to what I feel and will always do thorough testing, even for somethingminor. Just to assure that it’s trulyOK. Most providers I’ve experienced are very dismissive but, he has not once dismissed my symptoms. You can tell he not only is good at his job but, truly cares

He was great
He was a no BS type of Doctor. I told him my problem, he helped, we joked, and I got on my way. Wasn't rushed, staff was great and very cordial. I arrived late, and they still got me in. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff.

What a joke?!
Telehealth
Triage nurse was abrasive but the kicker, this “doctor” was the rudest and most condescending “professional” I’ve ever dealt with. Never again! I literally have left Frederick Health now. He is dreadful.

My daughter had her first appt today. She accidentally went to the alternate address on the website & was 13 minutes late. She was ridiculed by the nurse & THE DOCTOR. Most places u wait for around an hour anyway. THEN he REFUSED to address some of the issues she had, stating he didn't have time for it! Doctor's are paid by patients & insurance. We pay a great deal for insurance & copays. How dare u put yourself so high upon a pedestal to berate a young lady coming to ufor help! Unacceptable!!!

I have had many doctors in my life and I have to say Dr. B. Adam Shanes is the best and most caring one I've ever had, I was on so many meds., when I started seeing him and he said he did not agree with my med., list and now I am not on over half the meds., and I feel a lot better and he spends as much time needed with his patients. Awesome PCP.
