Dr. Ayesha Ashai, MD

Dr. Ashai being the professional that she is discusses with me ways to keep my PTSD under control with the understanding what are triggers. Every issue we tackle together as a team, and at the end of each session - I always step away feeling at peace with myself.

Dr. Ashai has helped me through a lot in the time I've seen her. She's been my psychiatrist for 3 years now and without her and her medication recommendations I wouldn't have known what to do. She doesn't just prescribe medication she takes the time to figure out which medications is right for you and if it doesn't work she will try as many times as needed to find one that works. She's great at her profession and I wish her luck in any future career opportunities. :)

She listens. She also gives suggestions on how to help me, besides medicine. She does her part, then tells me to follow up with my therapist.

I am thankful to have found a provider who is not just prescribing medication! I have struggled with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression for many years untreated, I was finally able to be heard and seen! Dr. Ashai was attentive and thorough, from the initial intake to every appointment. Dr. Ashai helped me through the journey of understanding and managing my mental health. She has given me a new sense of hope and outlook on having a better more meaningful life. I cannot express my gratitude for how much she has changed my life, I am forever grateful!

Dr. Ashai is wonderful. Other doctors just pile on med after med after med after med. Dr. Ashai takes the time to learn about what is going on with you, and evaluate how best to help you. She doesn't just pile on the pills until you're a zombie like some doctors. When I first saw her, I had a laundry list of diagnoses that had been put on by various doctors at various hospitals. She took the time to clean up that list and make sure I was diagnosed and treated for the conditions I actually had, not the laundry list.

Dr. Ashai is hands down the best Psychiatrist, she loves what she does and it shows with how caring of a person she is. Dr. Ashai listens to what you have to say not only as your doctor, but also as a friend, she makes the appointments definitely easier. I would recommend Dr. Ashai to anyone suffering from mental illnesses, you will not be disappointed.

I am lucky to have Dr. Ashai as my Psychiatrist. The main point is that she has helped me a lot over the years I've been seeing her. She is a great Dr. and knows her stuff. She has a genuine interest in how I'm doing and is dedicated to providing the best care to help me. The appointments are welcoming, productive, and comfortable. She works with me on options and it's clear her interests are to help make my life better. She is exactly what I needed when I was struggling and didn't even want to seek help. I honestly highly recommend you see her if you can.

So it's really really hard being mentally ill. But Dr. Ashai treats you like a real person. She doesn't make you feel bad for having problems; she helps you figure out how to cope.

She makes you feel like you matter during your appointment. She takes the time to really find out how you're doing and how best to help you.

Finding a good psychiatrist is really hard. Dr. Ashai really cares about her patients and takes the time to learn about them. She remembers me at every appointment. I don't have to remind her of who I am or what medications I'm on. Under her guidance, I've been the most stable I've ever been in my life!

I have been with Dr. Ashai since 2021. During that time, I did not sleep, had horrible Anorexia, panic attacks constantly, and suicidal thoughts everyday. I was so hopeless and had no direction of where I wanted to go in life. I finally met with her and she diagnosed me with Boderline Personality Disorder. After seeing so many psychiatrists and being told I had Bipolar Disorder for years, I was relieved I was diagnosed correctly. She put me on a medication that worked and I have been taking to this very day. I no longer have panic attacks, I have little anxiety, and I sleep very well! Any time I had any issues or concerns with medications, she took her time with me and reassured all of my worries. She showed me that she really cared. She even offered that I can come and talk to her anytime, even if it's not about medications. That is how I knew she wasn't another doctor who just wanted to stick pills down my throat and get me out of their office. She saved my life. Def Recommend her!

Dr. Ashai is extremely empathetic and compassionate for me and my recovery. She has spent the last few years supporting me and encouraging me in my recovery journey. She is very understanding and thoroughly treats all my symptoms of depression and anxiety through trial and error of different medications. She is very knowledgeable.

Every session I had with Dr. Ashai was so amazing and helpful. She was patient and understanding and was able to help me find a medication regimen that fit me best. She was always willing to hear about any type of problems I might have been having and she truly cared about how I was doing. I would recommend Dr. Ashai to anyone and everyone. Those who get the chance to be treated by her would be considered very lucky. I wish I could give her more stars than just five because she deserves them!

I cant stand her because she's a 'Factory' dr, who always just wants to RUSH a patient in/out of the room as soon as she can,like a conveyor belt in a factory.SHE DOESENT CARE,& her #1 priority is just to get paid. Her thinking is totally rigid & she wont even give a patient 2 extra minutes,does her 'job' halfway,& does not fully address all the patient's issues. she tells them to just 'schedule another appointment & come back again because Medicare/Medicaid only pays for 15 minutes',which is also an inconveinence to the patient. Medicare/Medicaid STILL has to pay for it, regardless,whether she sees the patient once, twice, or even SIX times or more per year. If she had enough sense to spend more time w/patient, if they truly needed it,then they would not have to see her again for a long time. If you dont want to be rushed in/out of the room, DONT see this 'doctor'.
